I generally don't care to get terribly involved in the business-of-battlerap discussions, mainly because it's plain obvious that most of the dudes are not capable/willing/comfortable enough to operate. But the one thought I often have is that the battlers could use their beloved "crews" as a way to negotiate. Hire one real business manager and negotiate payment for 2-3 battle rappers as a package and take care of the split properly behind the scenes. Add incentives based on views, ppv buys, marketing. Maybe that introduces internal pressure for these dudes to be prepared and professional, since their performance from the moment they sign the contract affects the crews' collective bag. Dead weight gets trimmed before even coming to the table.

I just want to get back to the point where I have 50% faith in the PPVs. I don't even get excited for the big events like I used to. 4-5 battles and you might get 2 complete battles. Pathetic.
