A Hypothetical Matchup of JC vs Loaded Lux
However, I feel like I am the Battlezones' lone wolf. I live in reality. I base my opinion on what I actually see. With JC, you have a guy with over 100 battles on youtube. There's a certain trend with JC. He is who he is.
It's fair to say in this setting, it's generally harder for a "pen guy" to go over with the crowd. You have to be damn near undeniable to get any kind of love. It would most likely be an underwhelming battle. Everyone would be disappointed & complain that these large rooms are killing battle rap.
JC's a rapper. He not an emcee. He can't rock a stage. The End.
cut it down to the points I wanted to hit
1. The idea that you are the only dude in the forum that has said JC has a string of mediocre performances and struggles on stage is a little lofty. That's the basis of like every negative post about JC. Nobody calls him wack, but many people acknowledge that his career went in the wrong direction and he didn't make improvements along the way.
2. I agree that since any battle involving Lux is going to be huge, that the environment is going to either be dead or volatile against the dry spots. I think JC can hang with Lux on the pen-game, but that environment would kill the battle and likely kill any chance JC had to win. I thought all this time that all the nigs in here saying "JC > Lux" were keeping it hypothetical for a reason. They know JC would be fighting against the elements, A-game be damned. Lux would have to actually LOSE the crowd to make this "even."
3. Agree that his body of work suggests he just can't rock a room. He needs the open-minded mid-sized room crowds,
and he needs an opponent who keeps the momentum of the battle going. Even when he basically 3-0'd Ahdi, the battle was fire because Ahdi fought from bell to bell and kept the fans engaged. Lux's presence sucks the air out of the the room since it forces the fans to listen for bars. Anyone giving Lux a real run has to have the ability to grab a crowd quick (we saw how Clips wouldn't die up there, and we saw what Mook did to em' in that dumbass environment).
But note that a majority of this is us talking about who would win in the room. Like
@FreshAIG said a couple posts up, TBZ is not made up of people who judge battles on crowd reaction. There's a good chance that we'd disgest that battle and have a totally different take on it then the casuals and big stage crowds.
