A year ago some of us questioned why Top was getting to battle Clips. Now a year later, Top is too good for Ave? lol

I don't think violence will be the downfall for an art that revolves around poetically telling your opponent you will end his life and the lives of his loved ones in an as gruesome and cruel possible way

I actually believe the exact opposite will shove hiphop (battle rap included) into obscurity. Truth be told, nobody wants to hear that shyt.

There is an difference between spitting a round about it and it really happening. Look at the damage Math caused at SM3 and he only punched Jones. Would it completely collapse? I doubt it but it would do serious damage. I'm not sure ppv is enough either. Even some hardcore battle rap fans don't cop the ppv because it so easy to watch the bootlegs.

Battle rap continues to grow after Math just as it does after any fight during a battle event. People also forget that with or without Math punching Jones that event would get shut down due to time. The math situation was just convenient to blame it on.

If we talking of 2015.. I can see why Hollow wouldn't necessarily show up high (if that's your complaint). Then again, I don't think I can think of 10 battlers that I think deserve to be on a top 10 list.

People have always gotten clear wins over Clips though, it's just Clips convinced not to care about it afterwards. Hollow was too big of a battle (name wise) from the jump and since it was on Smack, that was impossible for Clips to pull off this time. Would've happened had he battled Lux first this year or if he had battled Mook as well. Hollow only spit about a total of 2 1/2 hot rounds this year.

Clips always had a way to spin the L tho, he couldn't do that against hollow which is why that was the tipping point for a lot of casual clips fans. putting his basica ass style on the summerjam screen was a top moment of the year imo

hollow doesn't even deserve to be on the list tho tbh

The boy seen r vs v, redemption and Sm4 crowds, gave solid/dope rounds, had the crowd goin and ain't break a sweat. How many pgs we seen come and go, and the same can be said about them?.

Are you guys serious? Nobody is saying Ave is going to wash T-Top. The fact of the matter is, Ave is at the top of his class, if they are doing rookies/sophomores the match-up makes sense. Again, Top jumped right to Clips for Rookies v Vets. But Ave can't get a battle with T-Top? That's silly, he should get the same opportunity to sink or swim that T-Top did.

I feel that battle rap is constantly in danger of a complete and thorough collapse. These incidents of nikkas deading other dudes for their dough have worked out in non violent ways so far, but eventually someone is going to get legitimately touched. Once something like that happens and makes the news, two words after that. Ball game.

Man... Danja had the nerve to do a blog talking about "I deaded you on your money, do something" knowing he wasn't about that life

Im glad he just got pushed around and the guy didn't pull the trigger on him. Some people can't lose $500 and just move on. But then again Danja should have known better to do the blog and keep going to events like it was gravy.

I really hope that 2016 brings good business all around.

SDH has so much talent that URL is never going to use: Riggz, Genocide, Canon, Craig, Fliiko, Bad Newz, etc. I really really hope someone picks them up.
