Maybe son knew which fanbase was going to let him live. We all know Born the battler, and we know how his style, projection, and bars would do in url.
He has to know that too.
It's not that he never got love.
Let's be real, he could've easily been in Steams' spot.
He woulda got all the rookies / new comers.
He wouldn't get on the main stage but the small room / mid-size rooms to get that look. That woulda been the best places for his style anyway.
He still has the delusion of being a big stage rapper which he is just not, and I like his style but that's just keepin it a buck.
KOTD will not solidify your stock to the general masses.
Look at Bigg K, he was damn near battler of the year two years in a row.
You got the bloggers and the top tiers even sayin that.
Yet the mainstream fans still tryna front on him because they're caught up in the "if it ain't on URL it don't count" stigma (which I don't agree with).

Take Chilla & Nitty, they battled all over to work on their craft and raise their stock.
But they had to come to URL to SOLIDIFY their spot, that's what they knew.
KOTD won't cement your status in the game to the general masses.
URL is the most respected league, it is what it is.
He chose the KOTD look.... then didn't get his passport in time.
Bad News Born.
Meanwhile Chilla & Rum Nitty have boosted their stock by humbling thsemselves accepting the plates URL gave them.
Neither one of those guys have to seriously consider Bad News Born as an opponent.
lol when Born heard about Hitman's card, he reached out to Hitman on twitter to get on it
. Little did he know, Hitman and his pops were both on AFR clowning him.
Bad News Born.

B-Magic choked for two years straight and still.... jersey
