The second one >>>>>> Hellraiser 3 by a comfortable margin. The first three are heat. Everything after is crap except bloodlines, though I keep meaning to go back to the one where Pinhead's on the internet.

I watched 3 randomly cause it was on TV on night. I watched 1 after Doug Bradley was on Invincible so I could rewatch them, but stopped at 1:snoop:

Last time I tapped out after that video game one ,or the one where they go to a european warehouse club or some shyt. Besides the one from 2022 I have never watched the ones without Doug Bradley. I want to see 6 because I looked up other movies Ashley Laurence was in and I don't remember seeing her in 6.

4 was the first Hellraiser movie I remember watching. I liked Bloodlines and I think the last time I watched it, I talked about how the reveal reminded me of how they did the reveals in the Saw franchise.

I've never been able to get through the non-Doug Bradley movies. I remember early on in one of the movies, a character types up all the sins of someone, then takes out a salt shaker and goes "there's children's tears in here" or some nonsense. He shakes the shaker onto the sins pages and then starts eating them.

I've never seen more of a "we didn't get the point of the movies at all" moment in my life :mjlol:

The Hellraiser concept is incredible, which makes it frustrating how many sequels are just straight up flops. I remember hearing about a Hellraiser script that didn't get made but sounded really good. A wealthy dude built a rural town to map out in a design like the lament configuration, and deaths happened at key spots which would activate the configuration turn the entire town into a gateway. It sounded ambitious and epic, and if I recall there was a good director attached.

That sounds terrible:blessed: I'll be brave and venture into the world of DTV horror sequels that piss off the fans.

Word to @Straw Hat Luffy I should get into reading some of Clive Barker's stuff.

The Books of Blood volumes are heat! The Hell Raiser novella is elite, and Candy Man is really good, though it's a rare case where the movie is better than the story imo.

Man I need a Hellraiser reboot where they do the hellbound heart again and then go directly into the scarlet gospels

Imagine watching pinhead vs Lucifer with a high budget and in theathers

If they cast Kirsty and Julia right, those are two roles that get slept on for the all-time final girl and femme fatale.

I really need to jump into the scarlet gospels and see how the story continues! I hear nothing but great things, and even the concept sounds epic.

Crazy thing is Julia and kirsty don’t exist in part 2.

It’s all about Harry D'Amour— he’s the main character in lords of illusion and a character in a lot of Barker’s stories.
