I still dont get the joke

Weapons' weirdest joke is an incredible, deep-cut Easter egg
There's a surprising connection between Weapons and a sketch from director Zach Cregger's old comedy troupe, The Whitest Kids U'Know.

I still dont get the joke
I won't lie. That ending to 28 years later was disappointing as hell for me.
It's like if 28 days later ended right as they arrived at the mansion with the army guys.It was a complete tonal shift and completely out of nowhere. I get that there's more coming but damn. I liked a lot of the movie because it was giving me some serious 'Apocalypse Now' vibes but it felt like an unfinished product by the end.

I really liked the world-building for this, and the doctor was a really trippy but memorable character. It just felt like we got left hanging with how it ended. I'm more frustrated than anything because a proper ending could have put it up there with 28 Days...but instead it's a notch below for me.

‘Beast of War’ Intense First Look Image Pits World War II Soldier Against Great White Shark
Up next from Sting and Wyrmwood writer/director Kiah Roache-Turner is a shark attack survival movie set in WWII titled Beast of War, and a first look image has arrived ahead of the film’s Fantastic Fest premiere. The period WWII film is loosely based on real-life events, pitting soldiers...bloody-disgusting.com
I thought this year would flop since last year was so amazingScariest of '25 so far: Bring Her Back
Best storytelling horror of '25: Sinners
My favorite combination of the two: Weapons
This year's horror line-up is incredible. We got all-timers at the top; sequels that rebirth great franchises; and a really generous dose of pretty good but not great stuff that can scratch any horror itch you've got.
I'm pretty sure I was approaching the midway point of this year going "everything that's dropping is mid...except Bring Her Back" and since then, I've gotten huge enjoyment out of Sinners, Final Destination, and Weapons. Plus, I really like (but don't love) Marshmallow, Dangerous Animals, Best Wishes to All and Companion.I thought this year would flop since last year was so amazing
All credit goes to the original movies out this year
And to think we still got movies like HIM, the black phone 2, hell house, and the conjuring 4; plus so many othersI'm pretty sure I was approaching the midway point of this year going "everything that's dropping is mid...except Bring Her Back" and since then, I've gotten huge enjoyment out of Sinners, Final Destination, and Weapons. That's all originals except for one. Plus, I have a decent backlog of relatively unknown joints that I want to give a try, and there are four more months' worth of drops, including the yearly October Blitz.
And that's not even mentioning the batch of decent stuff: The Monkey, Death of a Unicorn, Predator Killer of Killers, Until Dawn. I've got so much to rewatch before I make my top ten.
I generally stick to the horror thread because I feel like there's a genuine gap between how horror heads react to it compared to general audiences. And to think we still got movies like HIM, the black phone 2, hell house, and the conjuring 4; plus so many others
I think the conjuring will be ass tho
And its bittersweet horror is thriving. I’m loving the fact that it’s on fire but I hate the opinions of non-horror fans man… shyt on horror my entire life just for it to be pooping and have randoms join…. To give the upmost shytty opinions on why a movie was good or bad….
The opinions in actual threads for movies be so garbage dude.
They just don’t get it
And then I’m digging that new alien show
Horror is on fire
