Wild as in exciting or wild as in nonsensical?

Wild as in each issue gets crazier than the last. They reference real life events and show the protagonists killing actual people. For instance there's a scene where the protagonists kill
Zimmerman
they redacted the name in the comic but they make it very obvious who its supposed to be

Have any of y'all read a comic called They Choose Violence? it's a comic about a group of black women who get frustrated with the lack of justice for hate crimes against black people and decide to take justice into their hands. I read the first two issues and it's pretty wild :skip:

I saw “Blerd Without Fear” review this last month on his YouTube channel. It reminds me of a more violent version of Marvel’s “Black Hawk”. The black vigilante who went around beating up racist cops/kkk. Just think if Marvel had released that in THIS climate.

Is it that good?

I picked up the first few issues because a podcast I listen to was raving about it but I didn’t read them.

Maybe I will catch up

It is SO good! I read both traces of the first two arcs cover to cover…..and still manage to find hidden gems! An the characters are so RICH and have an interesting dynamic. It’s basically what if The Hulk, Professor X, Magneto, John Constantine, Superman were the only MEGA powerful super humans on Earth an decided that they should form a pact to not fight each other because it would destroy Earth AND to also protect Earth from any threat……while simultaneously not really liking each other and the United States scared to death of them,

I’m late as hell cause I don’t really read comics any more but I just finished Darkseid War and now I’m reading Injustice year 3. The fight with the Lantern Corps and Superman putting on a yellow ring is crazy.

Man, the ending to Imperial was cold/realistic in terms of politics and intrigue :picard:

I guess if editorial wants to go back to the old status quo, giving a guy like Hickman the reigns to tell whatever story he wanted with that goal in mind is better almost any other idea current Marvel editorial has :ehh:

One world under Doom....it has to end like that?! Valeria....never saw it coming...

I’m thinking some trickery going on via Dr. Strange or Sue Richards

Something is up...he hasn't had to deal with a consequence like that the entire 2000s....they built it up nice too with him basically professing how much he loves her.
I can see this sticking. The current batch of F4 writers clearly don't want to deal with Valeria or Franklin (why he's depowered). They were fun characters to write when they were kids, but it doesn't seem like anyone knows what to do with them as teenagers.

I'm joying everything Hickman is doing lately (including G.O.D.S). But I wish we could get a long-term 50+ issue run of something. He's all over the place.
