it’s a lot of reasons why uptempo r&b is non existent but imo, people got on that “too cool to dance” at the party type shyt.

now it’s on some looky loo shyt, nikkas posing and trying to be all cool instead of dancing and having fun. it wasn’t no thing to leave the party sweaty from dancing all night lol

as an artist, why even make those type of jams if everybody is just standing around looking at their phones all night?

Not all music is meant to be liked and appreciated by everyone.

Everyone has a preference in style. Some people like the lo-fi tempo in songs. Others like more up tempo beats. Some people actually like artists they deem to have talent while others could care less about talent. They may like someone just because said person wears nice things.

I stopped debating with people about music and musicians a long time ago because at the end of the day, people gonna a like what they like.

Yea I generally don't participate in these discussions because I love a lot of current music. It's other people's problem, not mine

Her voice and vocal style doesn’t go with that beat breh :mjlol:. Sounds like some foreign singer on a cheap ass beat :hhh:. Do you really “feel” that record?
:mjlol: Can't take you serious. Especially when you posted Lloyd.
Plus you said it "wasn't about vocals"

That Lloyd record “works”. It’s a song that will get people dancing and to have a good time with. It’s an undeniable “Jam”. A song young and old liked. The record you posted sounded amateurish and cheap
That Lloyd shyt is wack to me. I've actually been in a club when people were jammin to the Lion Babe shyt. You gotta be a weirdo to not dance to that. And what does "cheap" even mean? Neither record sounds like they had live musicians in the studio
