How is the sample size skewed? :dahell:

comparing a 2nd year coach on the rise to a washed up bum on the decline :leostare:

at the end of the day, all of the bulls problems right now stem from thibodeau, and he is the reason the team has never made it to the finals...you can prolly blame him for rose missing 2 seasons too :mjpls:

Exactly, that's why it's STUPID to compare him to Thibs. He needs to get his weight up.

When did I say yall had NO talent? Don't go moving the goalposts. Yall wouldn't have the record yall currently have if there was no talent on your team.

Well comparing this season's Hawks team to the 2013/2014 Bulls squad

Hinrich/Augustin
Butler (13 ppg on 39% shooting)
Dunleavy
Boozer
Noah

and the 2012/2013 Bulls squad

Hinrich/Robinson
Butler (8 ppg on 39% shooting)
Deng
Boozer
Noah

it's quite obvious yall have more talent than those PREVIOUS Bulls teams. This is what I was getting at when I said Thibs earned his record with less talented rosters, because he did.

why would you compare this seasons' hawks to previous seasons' bulls :what:

of course this year we have more talent, and a better roster than the bulls...but we have more talent and a better roster than 98% of teams :sas1:

I just said thibs ain't in my top 5 right now, and a 2nd year coach that turned a franchise around and is the front runner for coach of the year should be in any top 5 coach discussion :manny:

seriously tho his coaching style is hurting the bulls this year and it's becoming more apparent as time goes on but I'll let yall cook :manny:

Because I said "And Thibs did this shyt with less talented rosters too." - referring to ALL of the rosters he's had. Because obviously his career record extends before this season's squad.

that was my point tho

an MVP, coach of the year, best record in the league and a deep roster took them to the ECF 4 years ago, that was their shot under his system and it obviously hasn't been paying off for them since

I wouldn't exactly call that a 'deep roster'.

But nevertheless they came up against three star players (one of them being the best player in the game) in their primes, and their best player was only in his early 20s - how the hell is it to be expected that they should've won? And what the hell do you mean it obviously hasn't been paying off for them since? In case you've forgotten Rose has been injured for the last few seasons. It's remarkable they managed to win so many games over the past two seasons when they had rosters that were fit for the lottery.

in a perfect world where players don't get broken down and shave years off their careers playing for thibs, maybe his system would work better

as it stands now he just looks like a coach who works his players like dogs in the regular season just for them to sputter out, or be sitting on the bench in a suit when it counts....he caught a perfect storm in 2011 with the roster, the weak east and the MVP....but how long are we supposed to praise him for that?
