Neely fuller says we're in tha 'refinement' stage of white supremacy. Meaning, tha powers that be are working to make sure tht tha oppressed don't actually know they're oppressed. Alot of nikkas don't know any better.

On this one Neely is full of shyt....there is not one black American that doesnt know we are oppressed...some might choose not to acknowledge...but we all know

What makes the schools different?

Schools are public settings that have kids from all over....they are funded by tax payers....to deny hairstyles is discrimination.....

Private Employers are different....

When I worked in the private sector I got told straight to my face that my fro and beard doesn't fit the corporate mold the company wants. I bounced out to the gov after that shyt.

Hell, my director is a woman who has locks that go down to her knees.:blessed:
I HATE the private sector

the govt sect is so much more lax even though the pay aint as good at least hey just have one rule. Do your job and do it well and on time and your gucci

So you feel people have the right to discriminate based on ownership?

Nothing wrong with dreads just like nothing's wrong with beards. It's when you don't groom it becomes an issue, white black whoever.

Views on beards have shifted greatly in the last 10 years or so.

In the 90s beard were considered nasty and unprofessional, even if they were well kept

You'd be suprised. They may know tha in your face surface level shyt like what they show on tha media (police brutality) but few know how deep tha rabbit hole goes. Even tha c00ns among us will brush off tha surface level shyt with respectability politics (pull your pants up, respect authority, etc.)

P.S. all neely fuller said is tht they're working to be in tht stage. He never said they were 100 percent successful

Exactly why I’m glad I’m blue collar.

The employers in the trucking and refinery scene don’t give af about me having dreads and I can still make good money too.

Yet this also shows why we need more black businesses on the rise

Cacs made me cut my hair n shave my face for a job

I was broke at the time
My braids were down the middle of my back. I had to cut them for a Armored car job. They didn't tell me till I start working that the company doesn't pay overtime. You work overtime every time you worked. Long ass hours like up to 20 some days.

With this in mind, a lot of jobs I worked at had brehs with dreads. It's like ageism or racism. As long as they don't say it, you won't know why you didn't get hired, so lets not
act like this is a detrimental thing. Someone who wasn't going to hire you for dreads wasn't going to say it.

Again to the point, I've met numerous brothas and a few sistas in professional settings with dreads. It won't suddenly become a rarity, even if this is a fukked up precedent.
