Safe to say that most of today's rap just don't move me because I thought most of this shyt was weak:beli:

Same here. I don’t get the hype.

I only liked 4 songs (DAMN was my fav of 2017). Maybe not digested it properly, but shyt ain't looking good brehs :beli:. This legit is some cotton candy bullshyt.

Cosign all of this.
You can twerk and sip lean to most of these songs I guess...but I'm not moved by this and only a few songs feel like they would actually fit the movie

Am I the only one who hates the beat on the switch on the intro? should of just been that beautiful piano all the way through.

Nah I liked it. Especially if it's supposed to be like Black Panther's main theme. It accurately expresses the character with the piano mixed with the aggressive beat.

Dunno why people were expecting some DAMN type music for a disney superhero flick.

Singles were dope, and people were already raving that this will be kdot's super fly. Not to mention, the early reactions to it here in this thread.

U right tho :francis:

Ain't nothing Disney or superhero about this album other than the intro :mjlol:
They obviously weren't holding anything back to be safe and family friendly, so ...

Sounwave is better dolo than with co-producers imo, theres some joints tho

this sucks that im seeing 'this is Kendrick's Superfly moment' articles like he was all on the boards for this. Sounwave is the main in-house for the biggest hiphop label in the world and barely gets mentioned. mainstream music journalism sucks

It’s a soundtrack, watch the movie before you pass serious judgement
Pretty much

Remember hearing Redbone last year and dismissing it until I seen the movie, IRONICALLY with a redbone I just met, intro hit a nikka right in the feels :mjcry:
