They are not synonyms of each other. Sugars are a specific subset of Carbohydrates. They fall into the "simple carbs" and every class I've ever taken they are referred to as sugars to further distinguish. Your body uses up these simple carbs first as the primary source of energy, and it is usually the sugars.

then you see the importance of eating rather than silly self imposed limits

I'm not trying to look anything. You showed up here saying that I told people not to eat any carbs, when I specifically said bad/simple carbs, including sugars.


Sugars are addictive, are empty carbs that have no mineral or vitamin benefits, and cause a myriad of issues. It was mean to be eaten by extremely active human beings or in limited quantities. There are a multitude of studies that show this to be true.

Sugars are sugars, some take longer to release glucose. One wouldn't expect sugars to contain minerals nor vitamins, nor should we, as don't fats and proteins.

I've done just fine. So have many others. The keto diet and others like it satisfy all requirements, including carbs.

I just linked you to about 10 studies showing different issues regarding fructose/sucrose intake, from memory issues to addiction. If you have scientific evidence debunking them, or choose to go and debunk it with your own study, I'll be more than happy to read it.

Until then, I'll take the word of the people who analyze these things for a living.

What I do for a living is not what those scientists and dietitians do, so they have a better understand, evidence and data to make claims. I can only accept those claims until they are proven false. You have failed to do so.
