I only eat beef 2-4 meals out the month. Started doing it once I started Insanity last month. I still believe that meat is essential to maintaining muscle mass. A mix of animal and plant based protein is good enough for me. To me, its all about balance. Since, I changed my diet, I feel more energetic and look younger. I don't think I can ever go vegan full time. If I did, it would be for cleanse my body from meat and diary based products for no more than 1-2 weeks.

One wouldn't expect sugars to contain minerals nor vitamins, nor should we, as don't fats and proteins.

Well nobody eats "fats" or "proteins" (protein is not really something you can hold so you couldn't "eat protein" even if you tried). They eat substances composed of fats and proteins. The question is whether those substances are beneficial overall. Teaspoons of sugar are not beneficial at all except for pure energy

The other deal with sugar is that it has metabolic effects very different from other macronutrients. Eating too much sugar will throw your hormones out of whack when it comes to fat storage and stuff like that whereas eating too much protein won't do that in general

So does riding a roller coaster or or watching a game. Hormones are supposed to ebb and flow, it's the nature of fluid.

Sugar as a quick energy source in times of extreme focus and concentration, are vital in reduction of induced error, you can overclock your brain and all of its functions (sight, hear, touch, taste, smell and decisions) with as little as a teaspoon of sugar. Sports drinks are known to promote peak athletic performance, as revealed on the sidelines of every major sporting event, and made infamous by the winning coaches of champions.

Sugar promotes feelings of happiness, excitement, and vitality like no other substance known to man. Non Natural Death occurs because some disease is attacking your glucose supply, you simply run out of enough glucose to function your brain.

Self regulation is synonymous with the CNS central nervous system, the high you experience will let you know when to stop.

You'll be fine.

Watching a game too often will give you diabetes? This sounds like the nonsensical ravings of an addict. How many cookies are you eating every day?

Then consider yourself an expert of all things nonsensical.

You're always castigating people for not trying things. Have you ever tried it? There is plenty of science to back up Keto diets. An apple has around 19 grams of sugar for example.

When did I say to not take in carbs you idiot? Can you quote me where I said that?

I said to stay away from simple carbs and sugars.

Carbs are your second-used form of energy. Sugars are first. Protein is third. But carbs can be simple or complex. It's best to take in the complex carbs that have no sugars, and that includes pushing aside fruit.

Yes, then you followed up that statement with "throw FRUIT in the bushes."

That is perhaps one of the dumbest myths paraded as scientific fact out there. Fruits and vegetables have FAR to many beneficial effects for the human body to simply stop eating them. What people should really work to eliminate in addition to simple sugars are animal protein based products.

However lean meats like fish and poultry are best if you must eat animal protein.

Your classes misinformed you :russ: You're trying far too hard to look 'smart,' it's okay to eat sugar, no matter what kind there is.

Wrong. Not all sugar is created equal. Eating complex carbohydrates, like those found in fiber, is far better than the "simple" sugars found in say birthday cake.

All sugars are NOT created equal breh.

Super low carb diets are not environmentally sustainable.... humans started cultivating grains etc to address a growing inability for hunter gatherer lifestyles to feed the population.

You can't go back. The planet cant really handle the corresponding overconsumption of meat that low carb diets create.

So you prefer to eat sugar from a potato rather than from sugarcane? Whatever floats your boat.
