I fell off the wagon seriously. My red meat consumption has always been low but trying to get rid of chicken right now. Pescatarian life for me for the time being. Plus i gotta add more variety to my lunches. Can't have almond butter sandwiches 5 days a week :mjcry:
one of my favorite sandwiches is bread/a wrap lightly covered in whatever oil, humus, some sprouts, maybe chopped kale or cabbage or whatever. cut up and add a small avocado when you're ready to eat. filling, but not too heavy

I've become a huge fan of veggie sprouts this past year. i'm going to be growing a ton of them come spring

I'm in. This year I'm gonna make an active change in my diet. Cheese is gonna be hard though. I might relapse. Red meat is no problem. Might take a while for me to ditch poultry though.

One thing I've learned is there's a veggie/vegan substitute for everything. Literally, everything. It may not be cheap, but it's worth it because there is no better investment than your health.

I've had vegan cheese where I couldn't even tell the difference between it and the real thing. I even had vegan BBQ ribs that tasted just like pork ribs :ohlawd:

I've gone vegan before and I don't mind.

What would chafe most people's asses are the inability to actually make meatless and plant based meals. Growing up poor I don't mind consistently eating the same meals nor the unavailability of meat or animal byproducts which also bothers people first starting on a meal plan.

Needless to say I felt better those seven weeks than at any point in my life. I plan an indefinite plant based diet change over the course of the year.

Anyone skeptical needs to give it a try. I do suggest whole food plant based stuff. Processed items without animal or their byproducts are still vegan but still not so healthy.

In the end you'll feel like Superman.

I am on board but how bad will it take a hit on my wallet.

Plant based shopping is cheaper than meat purchases.

Same here. Was a vegan and vegetarian, making my way back to it. It is not as hard as it was before. Food industry is evolving. You have food companies and producers like morningstar, gardein, and tofutti that make products that will ease the transition to plant based eating. Also protein supplements are getting better and on par with whey.

The less you eat, the less you crave. Meat and processed foods are a trap.
