Change is inevitable...
Careful with the Soy...
Yeah I read something about it fukkin testosterone levels in males so I think I'll have to alternate with other vegetable proteins if I go the "shakes" route.Careful with the Soy...
I did practice meditation a couple of years ago so I have no problem incorporating it back in my life but how will that help me gain weight ? And I do exercice. Cardio (40min biking or 20min jogging) every other day and I have a light body-weight routine (pushups, chinups, squats).[...]
For workouts I don't even touch weights anymore. Push ups, pull ups, dips, squats, burpees and some jump rope. What exercises you do with the kettlebells?
Practice this:

And exercise more.

orgain vegan protein powder from costco@Randall Flagg, @tmonster, @Broletariat,
Since I made the VG switch 45 days ago, I've lost -mad- weightI don't know why but I can't seem to be able to maintain my weight (which is already low because I've been skinny my whole life) and I think that I'm eating more (quantity wise) and better (more diverse). I think I'll buy some soy protein powder to make shakes/smoothies so I can drink em twice a day and have at least an above average protein intake. I've never been a fan of eggs (and I don't drink milk) and I can't see me forcing myself to eat more (I'm already struggling to eat a couple a week lol) and I don't really see any other solution to my current issue.
I think I should read stuff about the lifestyle but this bores me to death so maybe when making the switch I forgot something important I don't know. You guys use shakes or no ? If so, is there some easy recipes you guys have ?

think for yourself
challenge what you have been taught when it comes to nutrition (most of which is lies)
Going vegan is the short answer
the long answer is
1. avoid cholesterol
2. avoid saturated fats
3. avoid high sugar/salt contents
4. seek nutrients
5. seek to fill nutritional holes left by your diet (for veganism it's usually B12, Zinc, Vit D, iodine)
6. Avoid foods that cause cancer and heavy metal poisoning
The simplest way is to just go vegan, otherwise cardiovascular disease, renal disease, diabetes and related diseases, hypertension and cancer are almost guaranteed in your future. And no exercise is not better than diet when it comes to these risks, but it is a great compliment in helping reduce them.

so do I, which is why I'm a weekday vegetarian (i also don't buy into the idea of meat being wholly bad for your body in every context).
What sold me to move to a more veggie or grain based diet was the environmental effect. The amount of energy and emissions and water it takes to "grow" a piece of cow meat for example is astronomical and ultimately really not sustainable in the long term, to say nothing of the cruelty. I pretty much don't eat fish anymore either since i'm landlocked. If it was local and sustainably farmed with an ecological focus (really there are only a few places in the world doing stuff like this) I wouldn't mind either.
Industrial animal farming is the present. This is the future (and past):
