But how is someone gonna know it has those things until they already invested time? Too many shows come out to do multiple blind runs and hope that the show has worthwhile writing.
Obviously if you read the manga first then yea you'd know ahead of time it was worth it, I've read neither so I only ended up tapping in cuz I was bored and wanted to add something to the watchlist.
I was asking because I know a lot of people similarly wouldn't lock in to something like Apocalypse Hotel until they see an action clip like the one you posted a few weeks ago, it's a good show, but I personally feel like most action/adventure heads will skip over stuff like that in general even if the writing and whatnot is good because you can't tell that's gonna be the case from just a glance, everyone's not gonna wait and see if the writing pays off like that. The multiple crazy clips of yachi-YO! (

)doing crazy shyt is what drew people in to discover the interesting plot.
Most action/adventure heads are conditioned to check for visual stimulation first and then hope good writing follows it, it's like being drawn to a book based off the cover art vs. just grabbing a blank book and hoping for the best
I wasn't expecting much writing wise from this demon shyt, originally tapped in for the action and just hoped the writing wasn't gonna be trash or I'd drop it

it started off kind of episodic in feel so that's why I kinda tuned out some of the episodes and had to go back and rewatch once i noticed the author was actually tryna cook something up for real
