Born in 87. Didn't watch it or really care about it during my early childhood.

Originally got into it around the beginning of the AE/NWO (Somewhere around 96/97). I think I started watching because most of my friends started getting into it. This was around 5th or 6th grade. I would say that between 97-99 was when I was at my most passionate.

Was originally more of a WCW stan, gradually started switching between them, and ended up switching over to Raw for good once the Austin/McMahon feud really heated up and after WCW started to show some seams (I can't really remember specific dates or anything, it's all sort of a blur).

Interest started fading during the ruthless aggression era. My buddies had started to lose interest so I did as well. Once again, can't remember dates, but I remember liking a lot of the early Angle stuff, but by the time they got to Cena and Orton I had started fading. I would say that sometime between 2003 and 2011..I barely ever watched or followed it.

Got back into it with The Rock's return in 2011, been on and off since then.

Edit :

It's funny how everyone seems to fell out around 03-05 era. I fell out but had friends that would keep me posted on stuff. I didn't start watching again until rumors of Bret showing up in Montreal in 05 popped off when his music hit and Shawn faked everyone out he showed me how much of a mark I was and been watching since.

Lol, I honestly didn't see your post until after I posted mine, but yeah, that seems to be the time period when "the boom" truly ended. At least that's what it seems like. So many different things in play but I think that most people who stopped tuning in during that time had probably lost interest earlier and it just took a year or two to finally let it go. Nothing was the same without the competition between WCW/WWE.

My best friend growing up got me into it. He has since stopped watching wrestling. Me on the other hand have turned into a wrestling nerd. I won.

Was a kid watching cartoons on a Saturday morning in 1991. After the cartoons went off I was flipping channels and flipped to WWF Superstars and saw Macho Man cutting a promo. I was like :dwillhuh: who is this crazy dude with the weird voice. Later on that day was flipping channels again and I saw Ric Flair on WCW Saturday Night cutting a promo. I was like :dwillhuh: why is this dude wearing a bath robe. Started watching off and on until I saw HitGOAT wrestling in 1992 and was hooked.

Stopped watching regularly in summer of 2001 during the start of the Invasion angle and had completely stopped after Wrestlemania 18. Would occasionally see a Raw and TNA in 2003, 2004, 2005 but never enough to keep me watching consistently. In 2011 when I was working a particular job one of my coworkers was talking about CM Punk's pipe bomb so I tuned in the following week and started watching again. I don't watch like I used to during the 90's and early 2000's. In those days I wasn't missing Raw or Smackdown. If I did I would tape it on my vcr. Now if I have to miss a Raw I don't even bother setting up the dvr.

I had a aunt who was into it, and she used to bring me WWF magazine. Then I saw Hogan and Warrior and Mania 6 and I watched until WWE went on TNN. Because I didnt have that Channel, when I got it I was so far behind I fell off.

I picked it back up 2 years ago when they did Old School RAW. I believe this was CM Punks last Raw, right before the rumble.

I wasn't familar with anyone. I had heard of Punk because of the pipebomb. Cena and Orton I knew, but that was it. I watched one week and I challenged myself to atleast learn whats been going on. Been hooked since.

I remember being 9 or 10 and Watching Ric Flairs feud with Wahoo Mcdaniel. Being able to see the Evolution of Nature Boy 2.0 was a sight to see. Was hooked ever since.

I never forget it..I was like 8 years old...my older cousin was showing me a WWF magazine and i was familiar with the old rock and wrestling cartoon already but just wasn't really my thing..thought that cartoon was kind of lame... I thought it was cool that Sargent Slaughter from GI Joe was a actual wrestler in real life (that cross promotion to kids :wow: sh*t almost reeled me in) but still wasn't buying it......

So I'm flipping the magazine and in the middle they used to have all the T-shirts and posters for sale with the wrestlers modeling their own merch.... ...now I don't know why but I thought these shirts were:banderas: in my 8 year old mind

and then I seen this one Ultimate Warrior Poster where it had like Neon fireworks in the background and it looked like Ultimate Warrior was on another planet and i asked my cousin like YOOOOOO! who is this :krs:.... my cousin was like "That's the ultimate Warrior he Intercontinental Champion right now"....Warrior instantly became my favorite wrestler.... man the effect that dude had on kids from that era can't be described... The theme music, the colorful outfits, the intensity,....he really was like a real life comic book super hero...
