They said black folk are naturally deficient in Vit D and that our melanin causes us to absorb it slower from the sun.
You definitely need the K-2 so it can route the calcium into your bones

5000iu per week seems way too low, but i dont really know shyt

@Trav you got Vit d3-k2 in your stack?

Yeah, that's mando for me, especially in the wintertime, lol.

Personally, I think 5,000IU is enough (especially for long term use) as long as you're getting the right cofactors with it. I think you only need 10,000 if there's other external factors like body comp, low baseline levels if you did a test, or you just straight up don't get any sun or live in Alaska half the year lol.

I've started getting lab work done at least once a year and then just adjust (increase or decrease) accordingly.

I'm going to drop what I take a day 1 by 1. I'm going to drop what I take and the benefits

The First Supplement is

Iron (50 mg)

What Iron Does in the Body

1. Oxygen Transport Iron is a key component of hemoglobin, the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from your lungs to your muscles, organs, and brain. Adequate iron supports:
Endurance and stamina
Reduced fatigue
Better workout performance and recovery

2. Energy Production Iron is required for proper mitochondrial function. Without enough iron, the body struggles to produce ATP (cellular energy), which can lead to:
Low energy
Weakness
Feeling drained even with proper sleep and nutrition

3. Muscle Function & Recovery Oxygen delivery directly impacts muscle contraction and repair. Proper iron levels help:
Sustain strength during training
Support post-workout recovery
Reduce excessive breathlessness during cardio

4. Cognitive & Nervous System Support Iron is involved in neurotransmitter production and brain oxygenation, supporting:
Focus and mental clarity
Mood stability
Reduced brain fog

5. Immune System Support Iron plays a role in immune cell function, helping the body defend against illness and maintain resilience during intense training or caloric deficits

I call bullshyt Our Skin soaks up energy from all sources, We are powered by the Sun. We soak all the Good Vitamins and Rays from the sun and our skin blocks the harmful rays

The Problem is that Negros let Dwight Man get in their head and avoid the sun because they afraid to get darker.

I soak in the Sun in the morning for 5-10 minutes

And also during The Autumn and Winter months our skin doesn't get enough sun light that's why we as melananted people get depressed during these months.

So we don't get enough Vitamin D that's why important during these month's we take our Vitamin D and get in the sun when we have sunlight

I also take Potassium Asporotate

What Potassium Does in the Body

1. Muscle Contraction & Cramp Prevention Potassium works with sodium and calcium to regulate muscle contractions. Adequate potassium helps:
Prevent muscle cramps and spasms
Improve strength output
Support smooth, controlled contractions during training

2. Nerve Signaling Potassium maintains electrical gradients across nerve cells, supporting:
Faster nerve transmission
Better muscle coordination
Reduced fatigue during intense or prolonged workouts

3. Cellular Hydration & Electrolyte Balance Potassium is the primary intracellular electrolyte. It:
Pulls water into muscle cells
Supports muscle fullness and pumps
Balances sodium intake, helping prevent water retention and blood pressure spikes
This is especially important with fasting, sweating, cardio, and higher protein intake.

4. Cardiovascular Support Potassium helps regulate heart rhythm and blood pressure by:
Supporting stable cardiac electrical activity
Counterbalancing excess sodium
Reducing strain on the cardiovascular system during exertion

5. Metabolic & Recovery Support Potassium is involved in:
Glucose transport into cells
Glycogen storage
Post-workout recovery and nutrient uptake

Why the Asporotate Form Matters
Asporotate acts as a carrier, improving potassium transport into cells
Often better tolerated and more efficient than potassium chloride
Supports mitochondrial energy production

Vitamin D comes specifically from UVB rays from the sunlight. Melanated skin offers more protection compared to cacs but it also absorbs those rays more slowly.

It would be a different story if we lived off the land like our ancestors, we'd have a surplus of those rays and would be fine. Most of us work 9-5 jobs, go to the gym for an hour and then stay indoors for the rest of the day.

Thats not enough

Been taking my 20,000iu Vit d and have looked out for any vit d toxicity symptoms.

Only thing I felt like I wanted to throw up this morning after taking all my supps but really think that's from absolutely stuffing myself from trying to bulk over the past several days. Either way gonna up it to 30,000iu a day tomorrow.

That's still not an excuse brother, there's daylight light bulbs a person can buy. They take can take vitamin d and on their lunch break or break they can go outside to sit under the sun for 5-15 minutes

I got to the gym in the morning and afternoon but I work outside also

We can't keep making excuses when we can do better

Did you take them on an empty stomach? If so that's why. I get nausea when I take my pills on an empty stomach. Thats why the first thing I do in the morning is to drink water, then eat a banana. Take my supplements then down a 50 gram protein shake

No I took them with eggs and some milk+protein powder. I woke up stuffed and full AF but still ate so I'm pretty sure that's what it was.

Anecdotal evidence of people high dosing taking up to 50,000iu a day and have never felt better 🤷🏽‍♂️. Gonna see for myself.
