The physicality of football alone makes it more difficult.
In the NBA you have to get lucky on a loose ball or some other unorganized play. Plus you have plenty of time in the game if you miss a shot.

But in the NFL, your life is on the line once you touch the ball and you have 1 chance.
Its likely that you wouldnt be able to stay in the game after being tackled once.

you could get lucky in both
obviously you are going to be a z back in football and flare out to the post over and over
would have to go to the ground immediately or catch that shyt running towards the sideline

football would be harder

the situation isnt clear cause they arent saying in a scrimmage or a game ... how many chances you get etc

if you say AVERAGE average person, than nah probably not

While I agree getting 10 yards in the nfl is more difficult I think you guys maybe slightly boosting how hard a tackle is on a given play

If a corner is in zone and you have enough agility to run a solid route you can pick up 10 yards w/o taking a hard hit

If youre on the court for a few minutes its likely that youll be left open in the corner or something a few times.
Aint no average person beating man coverage to get anywhere near open for a catch nor getting past the LOS as theres timing involved in those blocks and most people arent hitting the hole before it closes off. Only way you getting ten yards is if its a blown zone coverage or you’re getting a play specifically drawn to get you open against a zone look. NBA wins this one

The average person is doing neither.

A regular dude who topped at high school sports (any sport) and stayed active in adulthood will probably have a easier time getting the 10 yards.

Maybe from a corner back you would be fine.
But for the average person walking around having a linebacker or defensive end fall on top of them is going to end their day

Obviously making a bucket in the NBA is easier. That doesn’t mean that playing in the NBA is easier, but the average person is going to get left open so many times as his defender cheats off of him, that he’ll have a much better chance at hitting one of those shots than the average person could do picking up ten yards. Plus, unable to keep up with the pace, you’d be more likely to catch a layup after a quick score by the opponents on the other end.

In the NFL, pretty much your only hope is the defender falling down or a completely blown coverage. Then, you still have to catch the ball. The average person def ain’t running for ten. Even if perfectly blocked, the d-backfield would close in too quickly for him to pick up any meaningful yardage.
