The incentive isn't there.

What a lot of you "pull yourself up by the bootstrap" cock suckers don't understand is that people are being paid less and less when compared to the cost of living.

If working overtime would allow them to make meaningful contributions into a savings for their deposit or would push them towards a promotion where they would earn more money, more people would do it.

As it is, it doesn't outweigh the peace of mind they get from having time to themselves.

People will spend 2 months getting hired only to fake an injury 2 days into the job. Then when we offer them light duty they look stupid because they never took light duty into consideration. They don't show for light duty and therefore they don't get paid.

If they had worked the job for 1 week and then quit they would make more money than the scam. And this happens all the time! It baffles me how much effort people will put into trying to get over on people only to get nothing out of it.

A lot of folks are lazy and have a million reasons to be lazy. I tried to turn my boy on to this job awhile back. But all we had was part time open. So he would have to work his regular job, and work 3 days a week on the part time job.
I done this for 2 years , to get my foot in the door. And it was welll worth it. And I told him too. His excuse was… man when I get off I just wanna smoke and chill. Full time comes with benefits, over time and holiday pay. They start us off at 22 a hour. Shiet !!!! I’m up to 25 a hour and I don’t do shyt but smoke and playNintendo switch in my office.
But he isn’t willing to make a small sacrifice to get to a better paying job.

That's dope, what career/job are you referring to that starts at 22 an hour? Do you need experience for it?
