That chick sounds absolutely nothing like Adele...
Honestly I think we all know who Adele is

That chick sounds absolutely nothing like Adele...
This thread has some of the dumbest fukking comments I've ever read.
If you told me right now that 'Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye was actually sung by a white guy in Ireland, do you honestly think I would stop listening to that song?
It's fukking music...who gives a shyt where it originated from or who is singing it...if it sounds good I am going to listen to it.
It's really more about giving credit where credit is due.
Adele has done that.
Elvis credited the fact his influences were black southern blues artists before he became a Sun Records artist.
Eminem gave credit to his influences and atleast tried to give back by giving his crew D12 an outlet to release music and expand their reach to a broader audience.
Timberlake said "justified" was influenced by Off The Wall by MJ.
Diplo has put people on that he worked with in so many ways...
The fans have not given the credit the artists who crafted the aforementioned though and that's where the problem lies. So basically there's where the confusion starts...and less educated fans and music listeners run with the narrative.
I feel the same way. I don't care who makes the music as long as it's good, but there's a story behind that music that deserves to be told and not glossed over.
So black people cant like white artists?![]()
That pic actually sickens me. Can yall even imagine the largest country music station in a market being hosted and programmed by a bunch of black people.?
Can yall imagine white people letting us dictate whats hot in country music and them taking our opinions seriously the way yall do with these white "hiphop journalists"?![]()
Where did it originate from then?
Ever since classical music, all the genres of music that have been made have been made by black people so where does soul music come from in that extent?
Pretty much every musical form that exists today stems from the delta blues...
Mine is broken. And I'll be damned if Imma pay for a completely new radio(like the whole thing needs to be replaced) just to have a functioning aux portPeople are still listening to the radio in 2016 instead of having your phone hooked up via AUX in the car
![]()
In 2016, broke mateys driving home from work have to Bluetooth to their phones to hear songs about bisexual codeine & ecstacy addicts diving into another man's girlfriend on a bed full of cash next to a Lambo on the roof of a penthouse/nightclub.because HIP HOP stations are NOT black stations...
we don't own shyt.....the bulk of these "radio personatlies look like this"
![]()
so why yall so shocked???
black radio hasn't represented the community since WBLS got sold by the Percy Sutton family of harlem to a big media conglomerate...
EMMIS BROADCASTING and CLEAR CHANNEL don't give a rat's azz about your culture
No black people own radio stations, so they cannot dictate what gets played on the air....emmis communications and clear channel makes the rules and the playlists too...
