He's "bashing black women" for literally copying a Russian concept about female degradation, self respect and materialism, and replacing black women with white/Asian women?

Was it bashing white women when a cac did the same thing? And if not, why not? I mean, they're all sucking dikk, right?

Got damn, the nikka is unoriginal, and a shytty artist to boot. He could be specifically aiming at white women, but I'll assume he's woman bashing in general. Unfortunately, white is seen as the default for anything in a lot of places, so when you feature any sort of minority in something like this, and no one else, it's gonna come of as a specific attack, whereas with whites it can be interpreted to be more general since they're the majority and dominant culture in America(and in Russia). Plus, these stereotypes seem to be applied to black women more than anybody else imo. I mean if the artist wasn't trying to bash black women, I'd have to ask why he'd exclusively feature them in his artwork?

really? is this the argument you're trying to make? where are all these thriving matriarchal tribes in africa? are you saying there's no misogyny in african countries?

are you saying black women are incapable of disregarding the experiences, thoughts, feelings of black men? :heh:

the black community does not exist in a patriarchy, the black community is a psuedo matriarchy. you still haven't listed any of these privileges. what are they? the privilege to flunk out of HS at higher rates? the privilege to get funneled into the prison system? the privilege to be killed, while unarmed, by police? the privilege to be twice as likely unemployed when compared to BW? NAME the privilege and stop responding with empty rhetoric

it's amazing how BW can talk about how they're excelling in school and the workforce, making all these moves, because black men are just so pathetic--only to turn around and pretend BM are receiving all these tangible privileges over them

Go back, and read what I said. Black male privilege ISN'T tangible. Its an experience that can only be had by black males. There are certain things we, as black men, don't have to worry about because we are black men. I'm not arguing that we're living this life of luxury, but we only know what its like to be discriminated against based on our race. Black women have to deal with the set backs of being both a woman AND black. You're using white male talking points to combat my argument. Black women have to deal with the same shyt that we do because they're black. They also have to deal with a whole host of other issues because they're women, and we never have a dialog about that the way we discuss black male issues. The way you deny your black male privilege is reminiscent to the way a poor white person denies his/her white privilege.

Most dudes are not giving up their dignity to get Jordan's. The painting is saying women are willing to give up self respect and dignity for money

Dignity for a man would not necessarily be something sexual. Men have other avenues in which their dignity can be violated. Women do as well, but this is an easier avenue in which to state this. Since sex for women is considered something so sacred this is essentially a very demoralizing act in the eyes of the artist. I don't think if there was a man doing the same acts it would portray the same meaning. It would have to be something that violated their manhood in a non-homosexual way imo.

ETA: I'd also like to point out that I agree with the others about the callous disregard over life for material items. That's essentially what I mean when I say the portrayal of male materialism would be something non-sexual.

The Russian art is painted to depict white female stereotypes about materialism and self-degradation. It actually isn't a stereotype in Russia because Russian women are widely known in Europe as prostitutes for money. The Russian artist likely feels a type of way about this and paints to critique Russian women and their greed, materialism and self respect. I think the black artist feels the same way (but about black women) and that's why he decided to paint what he did.

I mean if the artist wasn't trying to bash black women, I'd have to ask why he'd exclusively feature them in his artwork?

Because he's a black artist and he likes to draw black women. This is the case for many black artists (drawing black people, men or women) just as it's the case for many white artists (drawing white people, men or women).
