That isn't necessarily true especially if you're a woman.

I'm not saying 5'5 170 is fat, I'm saying its thick...but once your weight starts creeping up from there, it's harder to maintain a voluptuous figure unless you're genetically gifted. Generally speaking with black Americans diets, and our lack of consistent physical activity it's a recipe for unsightly cellulite.

I weigh 135-137 and I look slim/skinny. I'm 5ft6 (I believe). Taller people are supposed to and can weigh more without being and looking fat and unhealthy.

I think whenever folks do something where there is a consensus that it has no positives - like smoking - or this case being chubby/overweight/fat - sometimes people take that "concern/observation" way too far
