Hate to sound like a broken record but I hate hearing black people stereotype fellow black people so casually. Black men are not a monolithic group. We don't think or act the same, so why are we always being labeled like we're The Borg from Stark Trek


That being said I agree with her about dark black women being discriminated against. It's a fact. I feel bad that many dark black girls grow up from a very young age feeling inferior. Even when it's not intentional. Imagine being a dark black girl and seeing the intro to this video:


Dark black girl's hair isn't even combed or done. She's antagonizing and aggressive. Meanwhile the lightskin girl is a typical "wifey" reassuring Young Ross that he'll get what he desires. Dark black girls are almost never in music videos or media, and when they are it's a negative look. Things are getting better on TV at least, with a variety of dark actresses getting good looks. And of course Lupita is doing well. But overall dark women are still getting shat on...

I think the lady in the OP video is beautiful btw. And while I disagree with her stereotyping black men, I can't get too upset overall because she's clearly quite emotional about this. She's been disrespected her entire life due to being dark.
