I never said or would never claim racism is strictly a black male issue.I said fighting racism alone will not help black women, which it won't.& You keep bringing up white men & how I exclusively seek them, which is far from true.

& You've already made it clear that you don't think colorism is important, so that's all I need to know.& My definition of physical beauty?I find many people beautiful.I don't put one beauty over the other, or disrespect one to uplift another.I personally love my skin,:yeshrug:even though the ideal skin is light in the world at large and in the black community when concerning women.
Rashida is not comfortable with her skin tone, I am.I should honestly be the leader of this anti-dark skin women hate campaign. :ohhh:

& As far as defense goes? I would rip into man if he ever said that to me & also remember that I don't support him.I can't control a black man's dark skin hatred.I can only control how I react to him (which is by not supporting him).

fighting racism alone wont help black women? :mjlol: you do know there's racism outside of police brutality, right?

okay, after you "rip into him" and confirm everything he suspected about dark skinned women, then what? how did that help end colorism?

I have never & will never champion for white men.:mjlol: White men will never need my defense or promotion. The only group of people I champion for are black women. If you are not a black woman,IDFWU.

& No having mixed off spring does not "produce," colorism in my opinion, because I can still have light skin children with black men.

Do you care about black children?

Gives me a perspective as to why you feel this is such an issue in the first place. You probably haven't grown up around very many black people and if you have they probably didn't have diverse personalities. Yeah, we as dark skinned black people have all heard something backhanded, if not completely disrespectful about our skin tone. I know I've heard hoes talk about wanting light skinned nikkas since elementary. I didn't give af then, I still don't. Grow some thick skin, don't be so fukking needy for people's acceptance. Insecurity isn't a good look on anybody man, woman, dark or light. I've had to deal with a lot worse shyt in life than just being dark skinned.

It is such an issue in the first place because it is...Elementary, middle school & high school were diverse but they were still majority white(I would say they were all 60% white, 40% "other,")College was the same way,& for grad school I may be considering an HBCU, I'm not sure yet.Why do I think colorism is such a problem?Because I have had these discussions with other black women.I have witnessed their truths.I've been to black psych student meetings (with primarily black women),I've been in a black feminist theory class with primarily black women,I have black female friends,I've had this discussion with black family members.I've heard real stories from REAL black women, & I have seen the same or similar stories online. It's a real issue that I realize many black women go through.

Yes, there are also many black women who don't care about colorism as well. However, if I know this is still a struggle that some black women face,I WILL take up for them, period.I will always be passionate about the advancement of black women.

Every school I've went to (except college) was 90%-plus black. You need to grow some thick skin, get a life, stop feeling sorry for yourself, and stop complaining, that shyt is pitiful and everybody from my environment would feel the same way

That feel of belonging :blessed:
No matter the shade :blessed:

light women - tall men top 20%
Brown women - average height men
Dark women - short men bottom 20%

:krs: it all make sense now for the African American community:troll:

But what are you gaining by tryna play the divisive angle. Like women aren't colorstruck too and for all those women you've talked to there's a dark skin male equivalent. I'm not saying it's not a problem and I'm not even trying to play it like it's not a bigger problem for women in general.

But you frame this like it's an epidemic and a male only one at that. :mjpls:

It's really annoying

Hmm...so her getting fukked means she's being respected, right?

I actually prefer darker brown women, probably because the women in my family are light, but I definitely think light skin and non-Black features allow a lot of women to be rated higher than they should by Black men and women.

You sensationalize:stopitslime:

You have no idea what most black men are doing but you feel comfortable speaking definitively about us.

Can you give us an example of a guy doing the things you've described from your personal experience?:sas1:

I see how a number of black men are.I see them cracking jokes about dark skin women or black women in general on social media.I see & everyone else sees the lack of respect.I was actually on Yik Yak recently (it's a phone app that shows you random "yaks," or "tweets" from your college campus) & this one yak read "I love the men of my race even though they don't love me."I yaked back to the girl asking her if she was black & she said yes.

:sas1: Even though I already knew she was.

My issue is primarily with how black women are regarded in general, colorism is an issue that falls under the issues that black women face.I've also ran into plenty colorist black men.A very interesting case was when this black dude told me light skin girls are dirty. :mjlol:& Yes, I did check him.A light skin woman may be light but she is still black & you are not going to disrespect black women in front of me.I really wonder why do some colorist black men do this? They are so quick to start talking sh*t about the color that the girl they are trying to impress is not.
