It's not just colorism that I am concerned about,it's issues black women face in general, which did indeed affect how I view the men of my race (which it should).
& Nope, I've had these conversations with real black girls in real life.& It's disheartening because I realize so many black girls my age are not socially aware. But I believe they are becoming woke.

What are these other issues?

There are many, but I honestly don't think black men are ready for that conversation & something is telling me that they never will be.The Black woman would have to walk on egg shells & sugar coat her concerns to black men in order to not offend them.Only to have black men rationalize her issues making it impossible for her to get near "real," change & then she ends up back where she started.Black men are very comfortable with the current place of the black woman in the black community.& "real,"change, is not going to be comfortable for them."Real," change is going to be very uncomfortable for black men because change is never comfortable.

I asked you a very simple question and you just gave me the run around.:francis:

I'll ask again and I promise I can handle it. What are these other issues?

so you'd rather go off on a side tangent than answer his question? atleast we know you're 100% female with these arguments. you debate just like most women.

That was my honest response.:ehh: The reason why I gave you that response because I would have to walk on egg shells and sugar coat the truth in order for you to ever so slightly understand where I am coming from. You can't be too real with people because the truth is not pretty. & Even through my egg shell walking, sugar coating,& glossing, you will still ultimately hold your same views on the situation. So why waste time?

I could honestly write a whole thesis on whats wrong with the position with the black women in the black community, but it will not go over well with a board full of black men.Y'all are no way near ready based on the responses I got in this thread.

You always say this but, believe it or not, a lot of us are very open to what you have to say.

You want black men to be more empathetic to the struggles of black women in the black community, but dont want to open up the dialouge because "we're not ready" :jrdnsas1:

Youre essentially coddling us, which is something black women of your ilk use a slight against black males :jrdnsas2:

How can we progress if we dont know what's the problem?

Hmmmm. Her attitude. That is what is killing it. :francis: She is very insecure. The barbershop example is horrible. A lot of them have that nikka mentality. Like they are doing you a favor even though you are paying them. Kinda glad I'm bald now.

"Coming for," (Even though it's just acknowledging a situation) black men is like coming for the bee hive. There are even some black women who are not ready for this dialogue. There are some black women who have such a lack of identity & sense of self that they can't see themselves outside of black men.I know I'm going to get attacked for the things I have to say. & I don't feel like being came for right now at 2:15,:heh:

But maybe tomorrow. :mjpls:
