Sorry about my rants. That's one of my biggest pet peeves is that self-limiting belief that if you are from the hood you can't be or do anything else.

fukk that! Black people are beautiful intelligent and interesting.

Back to domestic violence (and this goes for any sex)

Cluster B personality disorders: Narcissistic PD, Borderline PD, and Antisocial PD (which includes Sociopaths and Psychopaths) can be very dangerous.

Sociopaths are usually the kinds of people who don't fit in, and are on the fringes of society. They usually were victims of an abusive upbringing.

Psychopaths are the opposite. They are charming and usually successful. They are able to gain trust and disarm people easily.

Both have a lack of empathy and no sense of guilt or remorse

Least likely according to.......?

So a "thug" (which I'm disgusted y'all even use that word) is more capable of being abusive based on what? First of all, this pathology within our own communities that somehow there are good and black men is ridiculous and needs to stop. What makes a man a good guy, because he has a "good" job and was able to escape the system and go to college and didn't caught up with drugs? Why are black nerds better exactly, since you clearly advocate so strongly for them? :jbhmm:
Y'all keep saying this shyt:mindblown: Of course all types of people can be abusive but...

It is a fact the violence and poverty are positively correlated. Education and violence are negatively correlated. So yes men coming from the hood tend to be more violent. The major problem is poverty black people are not more inherently violent than other groups..

The chart below is a way of looking at the behaviors abusers use to get and keep control in their relationships. Battering is a choice. It is used to gain power and control over another person. Physical abuse is only one part of a system of abusive behaviors.

Abuse is never a one time event.

This chart uses the wheel to show the relationship of physical abuse to other forms of abuse. Each part shows a way to control or gain power.

What is Abuse? - A Warning List

Many people who are being abused do not see themselves as victims. Also, abusers do not see themselves as being abusive. People often think of domestic violence as physical violence, such as hitting. However, domestic violence takes other forms, such as psychological, emotional, or sexual abuse.

Domestic violence is about one person in a relationship using a pattern of behaviors to control the other person. It can happen to people who are married or not married; heterosexual, gay, or lesbian; living together, separated, or dating.

If your partner repeatedly uses one or more of the following to control you;

  • pushing, hitting, slapping, choking, kicking, or biting
  • threatening you, your children, other family members or pets
  • threatening suicide to get you to do something
  • using or threatening to use a weapon against you
  • keeping or taking your paycheck
  • puts you down or makes you feel bad
  • forcing you to have sex or to do sexual acts you do not want or like
  • keeping you from seeing your friends, family or from going to work
YOU HAVE BEEN ABUSED!!

Remember threatened or actual physical violence may be illegal. Consider calling the police for help

There is a flip side to this coin as well. If a woman is the abuser and the man snaps.

Still there is no excuse for domestic violence . It is a serious problem.

IMO it's more of a gun violence issue overall in the community
