Fake dumb = out of your depthSo what's the difference between "fake deep" and "smart dumb"? Cause I use those terms interchangeably.
smart dumb = miseducated

I said why don't they make sense? This rambling gibberish flow is absolutely typical of Kendrick
But I bolded the lines that don't make sense to me
A 3rd person character can be very personal.Yeah, if he is making a full album on subjects then at some point I want him to dive into these topics and provide me with personal anecdotes.
I don't want an album full of 3rd person characters with no real backstories committing terrible acts so Kendrick can add a line or two of hollow commentary about said actions. Why not listen to someone whose been through that give you the real mentality?
That's not fake Deep. That's being a hypocrite.Love Big L but Street struck was kinda fake deep for me, why because in the same album he was talking about even if my grandma violate she gotta go.
Maybe it's the bi polar nature of the Album that makes it so great 1 conscious song for 8 demonic songs.
Have you listened to Kendrick? His music is pretty much all depth and emotional appeals.
He uses 3rd person characters because he's an artist.
A 3rd person character can be very personal.
as poetry, I accept it.nikkas are acting like he didn't say this on his old album
I woke up this morning and figured I'd call you
In case I'm not here tomorrow, I'm hoping that I can borrow
A peace of mind, I'm behind on what's really important
My mind is really distorted, I find nothing but trouble in my life
I'm fortunate you believe in a dream
This orphanage we call a ghetto is quite a routine
And last night was just another distraction or a reaction
Of what we consider madness, I know exactly what happened
You ran outside when you heard my brother cry for help
Held him like a newborn baby and made him feel
Like everything was alright and a fight he tried to put up
But the type of bullet that stuck had went against his will
As blood spilled on your hands, my plans rather vindictive
Everybody's a victim in my eyes
When I ride, it's a murderous rhythm and outside became pitch black
A demon glued to my back whispering, "Get 'em"
I got 'em, and I ain't give a fukk
That same mentality that told my brother not to duck
In actuality, it's a trip how we trip off of colors
I wonder if I'll ever discover a passion like you and recover
The life that I knew as a young'n in pajamas and dun-ta-duns
When thunder comes it rains cats and dogs
Dumb nikkas like me never prosper
Prognosis of a problem child, I'm proud and well devoted
This piru shyt been in me forever
So forever I'mma push it, wherever, whenever
And I love you 'cause you love my brother like you did
Just promise me you'll tell this story when you make it big
And if I die before your album drop, I hope (gunshots)
He obviously understands the cycle of violence and thinks lowly of it.(refers to it as madness on GKMC, wickedness on DAMN) That sentiment has been consistent before and after the interview. You're whole point is riding on acting like knowing the sentiment behind violence and condemning it are mutually exclusive . Kendrick aint fake deep because you wanna deny him of his own opinion on violence in favor of your own. You have no idea how petty you sound right now.
Ol "Pac wasn't a legend because he likes cocoa pebbles and I like fruity pebbles" ass nikka
You're like the Prodigy of Oakland :prodigylol:because you need more than one side of the story...i personally identify with k dot's perspective, i grew up in oakland, hung with people who were heavy in the streets, got fiends, killers, and dealers in my fam...at the same time, outside of a few fights, parties, and smokin, i wasn't heavy in that shyt - i had plans. that doesn't mean i can't tell you about about the lifestyle, offer perspective on how things turn out, how it affects others. you want first person accounts, go listen to the rappers who are going to talk about their day to day life banging. you want critique, that's where a dude like kendrick comes in.
and you seem insecure about me calling out shyt you think is "smart"You seem insecure about your own intellect.

Well actually. Its not fake deep.
its the execution.
He's saying..."Meek are you focused on this shyt? Really? This is whats important to you? Well lemme go in on this beef"
Its a single bar in the song. And drake barely does that shyt so you can tell he was irked by it.
Theres a style component you all who are opposing me seem to be severely lacking. Swagger is just as important to the verse as the lyrics themselves.
Execution is the key ingredient.
Theres a difference between reading the verse and hearing it.
This is music we're talking about
You can read a Pac verse and still not understand the complete musical picture.
@xCivicx @IVS @FruitOfTheVale @Cadillac @Poitier @bigbadbossup2012 @mbewane @Wise D'Angelo @TntBdx @luckyse7enz @Starski @NewWaveEra @biscuitsnbangers @ConsciousBootyEnthusiast @Long Live The Kane @seveninthechamber

Interesting. Expound on that Breh.I think what Poitier's getting at is that the critique itself is often framed in ways that suggest Kendrick is not as cognizant/understanding of the issues as he himself implies.
Yep.most of these nikkas see conscious rap as a lane, nothing more

You'd enjoy this site much more if you blocked me.
You are fukking pathetic.

Huh?? They don't make sense because they're not connected to each other in any way and they seem like they were placed just to keep the flow in tact, like I've said beforeI said why don't they make sense?
It still isn't typical Kendrick.
Y'all notice how Wale, Ross, Drake, Sean, KRIT, etc all mention NAMES?His songs don't feature complex characters or their mentalities instead his characters tend to be unidimensional, his stories don't paint a picture with names, locations, and events that could only come from someone pulling from their experiences.....they're more like straight to TV sequels to early 90s hood films set in LA
