They really left no room for DLC in this shyt unless things go to the "real" world.
Can't do any prequels....previous expeditions literally get jack shyt accomplished. They mostly just die immediately or roam around then die. Plus they would have to remove lumina entirely.
Can't do postgame....They wrapped this shyt up in both endings basically.
Unless the force Maelle's ending to be canon and Renoir comes back and tries to gommage again, but thats redundant
Can't even expand on Verso's adventures. There is nothing at stake and all the other party members would ultimately die anyway like I stated above.
But honestly this is a good thing. Its a sign of good story telling where they don't need DLC to fix things, explain unclear shyt, or expand the story. This game stands alone really really well.
They can't even really go in another canvas. All the plot points and major conflicts are because of the family fighting each other. Its hard to use that again and have it make sense.
Their best move is to leave this as a one-off game and story, and take what they learned and pour those resources into a new IP and make it more AAA this time around.
They demonstrated they can hang with the greats with their story telling so it would kinda be a disservice to relegate the developers to the E33 world after how all the reveals made everything so inconsequential.
