Real Verso and Clea adventures with Esquie and Francois?I was gonna link a Tweet but I lost it.
Anyway, the voice actors for Verso and Clea are in the recording booth today so whatever is planned for this game seems to be substantial.
Fred.

pops got no chill
also some of these enemies are getting way more turns than meThis 2nd fight with Renoirpops got no chill
But I'm not gonna lie some of these enemy tactics seem cheap, particularly vanishing party members so you can't revive themalso some of these enemies are getting way more turns than me
I'm hoping they actually start explaining something soon though. Verso and Renoir keep having these vague conversations but they won't come out and just explain what exactly they're beefing over. And I'm still trying to figure out where the Paintress came from and how/why she started killing people at a certain age. Maybe after this fight they'll explain the backstory a little more.
Everything will make sense at the end of Act 2. This ain't "Lost", they actually tie everything together and nothing in the game is random, no matter how much it seems.
You gotta invest in Agility to get more turns and you can dodge that Renoir attack.
Fred.
and yeah I know you can dodge that attack, it just seems kind of cheap to have oneshot vanishing attacks like that, one fukk up and you can't recover. At least with one hit KO attacks you can revive the character
he's saying "I don't know" a little too much for my likinglol. I just passed that part. All will be revealed very soon.Beat himand yeah I know you can dodge that attack, it just seems kind of cheap to have oneshot vanishing attacks like that, one fukk up and you can't recover. And yeah, most of my characters have good agility, I was moreso complaining about how he kept using Rage and getting extra turns
Now I just need to figure out if I can trust Versohe's saying "I don't know" a little too much for my liking

Made it to the start of Act III.
So let me get this straight, their entire world is some kind of living painting created by Maelle/Alicia's mom out of grief because Verso died in her world? And Verso is just a copy of the real Verso?
And there's some war between "Painters" and "Writers" going on?

The (real, teenage) Verso created the world of Lumiere inside the painting/canvas we play in.
Aline (the Paintress, Alicia/Maelle's mom) entered the painting out of grief and created a "painted version" of her whole family so they could be together forever, Verso included (that's the character we meet/play as).
Renoir entered Verso's painting so he could save Aline from consuming herself inside of it. Both Renior and Clea -Maelle's other sister- created/painted a bunch of shyt to keep Aline trapped and slowly lose her power and so she eventually leave the painting (by destroying real Verso's creation).
