I'm telling yall, shyt is going to get worse as time progress. Lyricism will eventually die out due to a higher demographic of fans chasing the next thing the machine throws at them. Kendrick holding it down but it's not awakening the youngins at all because that demographic is addicted to the fast food bullshyt. At least during the ringtone/ice bling era, there was a sense of choice. Now, everything has to have a trap beat, drug/sex influence, and slam in the clubs.

I'm sorry to say this, its either find another genre or genres to fall back on...or continue to be dusty with your music picks because there's no growth in this game unless a miracle happens.

Kendrick is the epitome of fast food bullshyt. It's not awakening the young cats because his music doesn't come from a real place and he aint saying shyt.

If Kendrick was really as nice as people pretend he is, the game would change overnight because people would be actually inspired. Instead of him rambling about the homies in Compton, Kendrick should be making songs about mental illness, social alienation, being broke and feelings of insecurity - shyt that actual young cats go through in large numbers but are too shook/arrogant to discuss.
