And you're right, these are all distractions from actual issues that people are facing - which Left principles have answers to. But they need to not be afraid to tap into the uncomfortable side of it. Say what you want about MAGA but they tapped into the emotional side of it, as heinous and evil as that seems...

Look at the Luigi thing - you obviously don't have to endorse murder - but the eat-the-rich sentiment exists across the divide, and folks like Bernie been speaking on it for DECADES. think the biggest issue is that most information people get about the Democrats platform is from the GOP. Republicans gonna push this trans thing REGARDLESS of what the DNC platform is because it works for them. It's no different than CRT...had nothing to do with the Dems but it was successful at riling up voters.

They need to be what they used to be before Clinton turning the party Republican lite. A working family party that's a check on corporate greed and is anti-foreign intervention. Holding these two pillars up would allow them to be socially liberal and the electorate not caring.

It's not bashing, why is it bashing to say that you don't get everything you want? It's saying you fully accept them as people and that you stand against disrespect, but certain points need to be clarified.
