Its not really an exposal, but it is definitely a change in the underlying code of beat making. Was a time when sample based producers strived to rock a loop that no one could even figure out where they got the source material from. In fact was a time beatmaker code said it was less authentic to pull ur drum loops from a drum loop record instead of pulling the loop from the original release. Now I might personally find that way of thinking snobbish, but its definitely a change from the code of hip hop sampling.
So I wouldn't say taking loops from sample libraries is weak, but let's not act like there has never been a context in hip hop where that kinda thing was frowned on.
