Premier was talking about doing it back in like '06, when he was working on "Get It Done" for Skyzoo and Torae.

He said they talked about it back then. I don’t know why it would take mad long to sit and record, but who knows. Sometimes I feel like it's schedules, but ain't nobody that busy for over two decades, lol.

I remember reading that Premier produced some tracks for HHID, but by the time him and Nas were getting in a groove, he had to go on tour. Nas was irritated because they were just about to get locked in.

I think it's a combination of them both wanting to be in the studio together, conflicting schedules, and different interests. Remember that album Nas said was finished in 2016 that never came out? He just didn't care for it anymore and moved on. There are probably enough unreleased Nas/Premier tracks to make two albums, but the timing wasn't right. Nas was scared to put the Pete Rock tracks on LT2 because of the expectations, so he probably got tired of people asking him about the Premier album and kept putting it off.

Also, the story of Nas supposedly going to be on the Gang Starr album but he told Premier he wasn't inspired enough. If he couldn't write a verse over a Premier beat, imagine him trying to force an entire album just because people wanted it.

Don't be mad, Tito.

Dude literally said "I spent a lot of time working on this project to make it perfect because I wanted to make sure it was a movie". All these loosies on here were for other projects that he didn't want to put out decades ago. They weren't for SC-anything. He said like 6 joints were old, after the fact. But it's way more than that. He said he went out and got new producers for this because a lot of producers don’t have what he needed for this album and that Mass Appeal was mad at him because he didn't care who produced what, he just wanted the right beats to make "SC2 a movie".

You ain't gotta take my opinion personally because this dropped on Mass Appeal. None of this music has anything to do with you. Ghost is my guy, but he misled people with this weak ass project. This was some lazy sh*t.

So you're saying he lied

Brother that's not remotely the same beat are yall seriously complaining that some of these samples have been flipped in the past???

Have you ever listened to hip hop before?
Bruh what da hell, are you a Ghostface groupie? It is pretty much the same damn thing just with different breaks in it. You can't tell me that Ghost and Rza in the same clan and Ghost did not know he used the exact same beat? Zoom was almost the same concept as E-40. Metaphysics is just the name of the producer who did the exact same beat for Meyham and Bronson. The album is ok but don't tell me Ghost just found and made these beats on his own. FOH

I can't count the number of samples that have been re-flipped, some many, many times, in hip hop

I only heard a few joints and some of the beats that are supposed to be on it.

But they paused the sessions, so I don’t know what happened after that.

With all that said, I'm mad nervous. LOL!!

Understand but he flipped damn near most of the songs on this album. It is just a mixtape. I played it a few times but probably will put it down soon as it really does nothing for me, and I am a huge Ghost fan

I agree.

But I also think it's something the fans have been asking for, and they want to do it for them, but also have a million other things going on too. People been asking for a Nas and AZ album for 30 years. And AZ said he's talked about it with Nas, but knows Nas is busy and has other things going on and he does too. So it's not that easy for them to lock in sometimes, drop everything and commit to a whole album while balancing all the other sh*t.
