he's saying that Summer Jam (at the time) was such a hyped and anticipated show that it seemed that all races, colors, and creeds turned out in droves for it. All races combined to enjoy Hip Hop in New York, which is Hip Hop's Mecca...

What stands out to me about this album that nobody ever talk about is when....

Nas came at Cormega with this sloppy shyt

Was just about to post this track. Easily Nas at his worst here. The flow, the verses. shyt sounded like a backseat freestyle.


"And snitches call police on these nikkas and street corners............everybody's like Smokin' marijuana."


Album is aight.

The problem with I Am is it was all over the place quality wise. The good songs are really good (some are classic) but the bad songs are really bad. So combine that with filler and average tracks you get a really forgettable album.

Undying Love, NYSOM2, Nas Is Like & Hate Me Now are classic tracks to me.

We Will Survive, Favor For a Favor & Small World are good tracks. Everything else is garbage or filler. If Nas Is Like and Undying Love weren't
towards the end of the album there would be no reason to listen to the second half of the album.

thats fan made and they could make a better double album with all of the songs leaked from that era.

I dont like Money Is My bytch or Kissing. Other than that its a great album. One of his most lyrical, but sonically i guess it could be considered all over the place. Easy 4/5 in my book.
