Their entire style of play is like a complete opposite of Bron ball to be honest :ld:
I think LeBron is going to have to adjust and would be willing on this team. He will be 34 next season and this would be his best chance at multiple titles. It's going to be the first time in his career where he plays with a dominant big man like Embiid and a guy who can pass as good as him in Simmons. That Klutch Sports connection is there and the young boys been recruiting LeBron for awhile now. It would be too much talent on the team for them to not figure it out.

there hasn’t been a player in any sport, probably EVER that became some manufactured star in Los Angeles.

That shyt is a myth.

Every sports star in LA was a legit star who came up in LA (Kobe, Magic) or was a star FAR before they got there (Gretzky, Shaq)
It's not about becoming a star. It's about maximizing your brand. Kawhi's brand and buzz increases the minute he steps foot in LA as a Clippers player. Kawhi's jersey sales would be top 5 in LA. It's not only about endorsements but also connections. Andre Iguodala since joining the Warriors has become a techie and venture capitalist from networking with Silicon Valley investors.

Carmelo Anthony became a hell of a businessman in his Knicks tenure, venture capital, wine, sneakers and apparel, tech investments, media, collaborations, reality TV, even had his kid modeling in Sean John. He was a star in Denver, but in New York he maximized his brand, diversified his portfolio, and enjoyed a better quality of life and a bit of a homecoming. That's a glimpse of how things could be for Kawhi.

Kawhi might get $219M from the Spurs in a potential contract extension but the quality of life and opportunity for endorsements is much higher in Los Angeles. Jordan brand and other shoe companies are low balling Kawhi because they don't see him as marketable. This is a big reason why people like Kevin Durant and Penny Hardaway have disputed his status as a superstar even though he has the accolades and numbers, people to this day still consider him a system player. There's a big reason why Kawhi isn't marketable and its because he has bought into San Antonio and Greg Popovich's curmudgeon military culture. Tim Duncan was the same way in San Antonio. I think these are reasons why players like Stephen Jackson and Robert Horry have taken shots at the Spurs organization, an organization that looks bulletproof on the surface.

I don't think Kawhi is this quiet robotic dude he might be more introverted or laidback but we've seen the NBA do this as a marketing tactic they did it with Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose and over time those guys started showing their true personalities.

The only time I saw Kawhi play in college he was out here clapping in Jimmer's face, we've never seen this fire from Kawhi in the NBA.

Paul George is a free agent after this year, he's almost definitely leaving OKC. People keep saying the Lakers but they ignore that PG grew up a Clippers fan. The Lakers are too young, instead of chasing stars they should be developing the nucleus they have with Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Randle. George is 28 he needs to be in a win-now situation, every year he dunks less and less, it doesn't seem like he'll sustain athleticism through his 30's. I know PG and Kawhi always think about the what if, what if Indiana never did that George Hill trade? Those two on the wing would be a terror on both ends and they compliment each other perfectly.

Jerry West just took over the Clippers front office. If there's one thing about West is that he is strategic and puts together championship teams, son lost 8 titles as a player and went out and got 8 as an executive. :picard:

The Clippers have a core, DeAndre Jordan is about to be off the books, they're about to have a lot of cap space. West did a great job of flipping Blake Griffin for good players like Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, and Boban Marjanovic. They re-signed Lou Williams to a very team friendly 3 year, $24M contract. They have pieces that can easily be moved or can serve as a strong supporting cast.

C Boban Marjanovic
F Paul George
F Kawhi Leonard
G Avery Bradley
G Patrick Beverley

Who is scoring on this line-up? Two guards who can hound 94-feet, two wings who could defend 1-4, and a 7'3 giant in the middle. Boban would only play 15 minutes tops, but they have Montrezl Harrell who is basically a smaller DeAndre. Austin Rivers (player option), Wesley Johnson (player option) and Tobias Harris (would have to be traded) probably wouldn't be on this team but they would still have Lou Williams, Gallinari, Teodosic off the bench and their two way guys Ty Wallace and C.J. Williams have been great finds.

If Kawhi and PG-13 want to compete for rings, make $, and play back home in LA, the Clippers is the best choice for their careers moving forward IMO. :hubie:
You stated PG should be looking for a win now & proceeded to name the bolded:mjlol:

The best shot would be the Sixers, they have the room to sign PG-13 and assets to trade for Kawhi.
You got em trading Fultz & Saric :patrice:

I mean shyt look at people like Derek Fisher, Rick Fox, Horry, AC Green, and Rambis etc. Look at the exposure playing in LA brought them. These were role players yet their names were widely known due to the LA market.

I can’t speak on the Clippers because I’m not a fan of them. But playing in LA would definitely boost Kawhi’s brand, especially compared to the Spurs. Where it seems like they want you to project a certain image.

That's a win now team, has every component needed to contend would likely be the number one overall defense in the league and has fire power on the offensive end with George, Leonard, Lou being able to give you 20 points a night each. :stopitslime:

I'm not the only one who sees this. Kawhi isn't this quiet or bland, I think he's a cool laidback LA dude. He's a regular nikka man. :shaq2:
Rick Fox flipped LA into a successful post-basketball acting career. :wow:

Blake Griffin was able to start an acting and stand up comedy career out in LA.

I’ve been saying this why aren’t the clippers an option they have Jerry West a good owner whose willing to spend And doc Rivers...They will have a good amount of cap space potentially as well.

I didn't even mention that Ballmer is the most passionate owner in the league and Rivers is a premier coach.

What :mjlol:

The only trade happening between the 76ers and the Spurs is when we give them Patty Mills and a 2nd rounder for their second rounder so we can make room for Derrick White next year...

Boston and whoever gets the number 1 or 2 pick are the only teams that can offer things that you just can't turn down for Kawhi...Boston with Tatum / Brown / draft pick and whoever gets the 1st or 2nd pick...Kawhi and the spurs first for that pick and the spurs draft Ayton or Bamba...

if they trade Kawhi they are going to trade for players who fit with Dejounte and the 76ers sure as shyt don't have any players like that outside of Embiid...and I got to see him play a full season healthy first...

Maybe the lakers with Kuzma and Ingram...but I'm not really sold on Ingram and pop likes them thick at the 3 or the 4:chattyguurrrlll:
