They aren't trading them for Kawhi, they didn't want to trade the pick + Brown for Butler, and that was before they knew what they had in Tatum. The Celtics aren't going to have 4 max contracts on their roster, two of them which will be up for extensions that take them into the $30+ million a year each with Horford still on the hook for a few more years.

Neither Brown or Tatum are due for contracts anytime soon, the earliest they would be on the books together with new contracts is 2024 :ld: The only way those guys get moved in a package is if Giannis or Davis are on the market, Ainge is all about keeping the young players on that team.

The Sixers have Saric, Covington and Fultz in addition to a lottery pick (10th) and their own pick. You're overestimating what other teams would offer for Kawhi without assurances that he would resign with them, especially not now after what he's done in SA. They can get good packages for him, but you're thinking about Anthony Davis level packages (He's locked up for 3 more years) or the type of trades Giannis would get, also locked up for a few more years.

Jimmy Butler isn't even in the same tier of player as a healthy kawhi leonard is so what the celtics would or wouldn't have done with him doesn't mean much...I can think of a lot of teams that wouldn't give up X for Jimmy Butler but would give up X for Kawhi Leonard who is an overall better player, and 2 years younger, and hasn't had his bones ground into dust by Thibs most of his career.

Spurs won't want Saric...they got Multinov waiting in the wings...they won't want Covington...they have Blossomgame in the d league and he is getting kyle anderson or rudy gay minutes next year if one or both leave...they won't want fultz...Murray is already planted as the PG of the now and future...and White is probably going to start splitting time with Tony as his backup once they trade Patty to the 76ers for nothing...Pop is already having to teach two young guards on the fly between them he is not going to want to do the same thing to a 3rd...Spurs have 3 point guards and two undersized two guards masquerading as point guards...outside of John Wall who Pop just loves to death for whatever reason...no way they bite on one when they don't have enough minutes for the ones they have already.

And if you are the celtics and you believe the rumors...why wouldn't you be able to sign him? If you believe he wants to leave...why wouldn't he want to play for your team? If you believe he wants to be in a bigger market...don't you have one of the largest ones in the league? If you believe he wants to enhance his brand...isn't the celtics brand one of the strongest in all of sports?

Saving whatever they have for AD is pointless cause the pelicans won't EVER trade him. He is the face of that franchise if they traded him you might as well move that team to Seattle cause they going to lose money hand over fist as soon as the first tweet comes out saying he been traded for anybody other than probably Giannis comes out...

Kawhi is the player you hope Brown and Tatum can one day be. Doesn't make sense to take a chance and figure out if they can be or not when you can just trade them for the player you want them to be...and if we talking about money what you pay him at the max will be less than what you pay tatum and brown combined at the max...

And as far as contracts go...you either pay Kyrie the max after next year or let him walk...so if you pay him the max...it starts in the 19 20 season...Hayward max ends in the 20-21 season...cause I don't think 30 year old Gordon Hayward is opting out of 34 million...and this is the same season that Brown is going to be due his next contract...So your going to be in the beginning of Kyrie max if you keep him...at the end of Gordon max if you keep him (and they WILL keep him :mjpls:)...and now the beginning of Brown max...and what about Rozier? Loved him enough to dead any trade talks with him in them but not enough to trade for Kyrie...his new contract starts in what...19-20 season...same as Kyrie...so maybe you let Rozier walk and Hayward comes off the books and you got enough to pay Tatum...but if you let Rozier walk...then what was the point of hanging on to him if you keep Kyrie...

I guess saying one of Tatum or Brown is gone is wrong...I guess it should be one or two of Kyrie...Rozier...Tatum...and Brown are gone...and if I am willing to give you Kawhi Leoanrd...it should be obvious which two you should be willing to get rid of...

They would just move him or Gordon to the 2...

Kawhi, Kyrie, and Gordon would rule the east as long as they were together...you can punch the celtics ticket to the nba finals from next year until....

and eventually they going to lose Tatum or Brown for nothing anyway as they come up on new contracts...might as well get a MVP caliber player for them now...

This isn't like trading for Boogie or even trading for Kyrie...this is trading for a guy who was considered the "best two way player in the league" which to me seems like the best player in the league...so teams are going to bust it open...

Now if it comes out that his condition is degenerative and the real reason he won't play is because once he does people can see how :scusthov: he looks then yeah...at that point you going to be getting the oladipo's of the world for him...

The Sixers having that lakers pick aint enough...they would have to do that pick and embiid for Kawhi and neither team is going to do that...

Kawhi isn't marketable because he's a damn mute. If he had any type of personality he wouldn't be getting lowballed by Jordan.

Can the Thunder trade PG?
Not unless he accepts his player option ... which would be stupid of him because then he’d have no control over the next team he plays for since he doesn’t have a no trade clause like a Lebron for example

So in theory they could ...but the reality is he will be opting out whether he’s staying or not

kawhi for wall.
Paul George for Otto
Barnes for Beal ( or we retain)

Lebron sees this and moves to the west cause he doesnt want those problems trying to score on them

Or beal and porter for disgruntled kawhi and expiring PG13
Yeah cause the warriors will be leaving the west soon. :stopitslime:

Beverley isn’t a FA until 2019. I just checked Bradley is a FA this year, he wasn’t listen on ESPN Free Agents page under the Clippers so I didn’t peep.

I’m not retarded nikka
