get myfitnesspal and track what you eat.
one of the hardest things about losing weight WHILE lifting is that insatiable need to eat a big meal after lifting, especially with DOMS after the fact the next few days
best habits that i employed:
1. Don't eat breakfast - this is something i kinda did naturally due to not eating breakfast really but in truth limiting yourself to two meals can make it that much easier to fit your numbers in a day(IE two man sized meals as opposed to some soft 300 cal helpings throughout the day)
2. Drink water constantly - it not only keeps you hydrated but it keeps your hormones in check, look up articles on the effects of dehydration and youll see how easy it is for it to fukk you up on a cut.
3. Vitamins - especially the energy boosters like B complex etc, get your zinc, get some fish oil, throw a multi in. It all helps to keep your head level. I went without it for awhile and it slowly caused me to get lethargic.
4. Cold Showers - i cant speak enough about how they help recovery, i took them at wake up and before bed. If you can't take the shock go from warm to cold
5. EC Stack - it will have your metabolism feeling like its revving. Even though its effects are not as great as some will tell you the placebo effect is definitely there. Just off the energy boost alone it will have you feeling powerful
6. Lift with purpose - regardless what routine you have, choose one that provides for some kind of trackable progression. Stalling workouts can make you feel soft, inadequate, time wasting whatever you wanna call it. Changing up the routine to keep progress going isn't just a best method for cutting, but fitness in general. Always keep progressing no matter what.
7. Alcohol and pot will fukk you eventually - this is what has ultimately killed me last year. They lead to other bad habits like binge eating while out, along with the added cals of the drinks themselves. Best bet, be disciplined and go out LATE and once a week. Im practicing this now. Id rather miss out on some action if it means im an underwear model by May
i hope this helps some of yall who are on the resolution tip, all it takes is for a few weeks of success and youll be on your way. The trick is staying motivated despite good times or bad times.
