MY GIRLFRIEND is much too close to her handy-man ex for my liking.

They still speak several times a day and meet up every other Friday.

If ever we need something fix-ing (plumbing, fencing etc) she immediately gets him over to sort it out, because she’d rather give him the money.

A few weeks ago there was an incident in our house. I came in and found the bloke in our bed.

My girlfriend was there too in her bathrobe. She claimed that he’d had a “funny turn” while up a ladder mending our roof.

She’d put him to bed with a couple of tablets, before taking a shower herself.

I’m afraid that I didn’t buy it and accused both of them of having sex behind my back. Neither would admit anything and a terrible scene ensued.

As a result, my girl announced that I’d upset him so much (!) that he was moving abroad to a new job. Naturally I sighed a massive sigh of relief.

But I’ve just heard that he’s not going after all. The job has fallen through (was there ever one?) and he’s renewed the lease on his flat for another two years.

I am beginning to wonder if this creep will ever go away.

They dated for three years up until 2011. They’d been apart for six weeks when I came on the scene and invited her to move in with me.

She has always absolutely insisted that I was never her rebound boyfriend, but I’m not entirely convinced. When I beg her to stop seeing him, she says that she can’t because he’s like a brother to her.

She says that he’s vulnerable and needy and relies on her support. I feel like I’m going insane here. Is everyone around me taking me for a fool?

Saw her and her new man at a social function last night. Tried to chat up the nearest female next to me so we wouldn't have to communicate. She still tapped me on the back so we could catch up for a minute . I was laying in bed last night hurting over that shyt, even after so many months . This dude has been her "friend" since freshman year of college, this shyt was inevitable and I think deep down she always wanted that nikka, was just waiting for him to break up with his ol girl. Felt like I got used and caught some serious feelings in the process. It hurts all over again now, but at least I got the final confirmation she's with someone else now so I can officially move on.
