Why I’m I Single?


If there is one area in life that I have never struggled in since I grew from a boy to a man is casual dating. It takes no effort on my part to go out on a date/casual date with successful and/or beautiful women; however the things that partially fulfilled me in the past does not at this stage in life as what I seek after is something of substance built on firm foundation.


Even in my anger and bitterness stages of life when people underestimated how deep betrayal can impair your heart and thoughts, I was and have always been a proponent for happy and healthy relationships. However it still rings true that I would rather be single than to be saddled down in any capacity with the majority of individuals out there.


With that said so why I’m I single?


- I look at relationships by stipulations of whether they enhance my life or make it inferior.

-I refuse to put up with disrespect or mistreatment just because someone is attractive or successful. The slightest infraction and I’ll fully remove myself from the situation.

-There is no room in my life for people who start drama or need it to quench their “boredom” for the sake of it.


-I still deal with trust issues that surface time to time and it takes a lot for someone to earn my trust and I rarely come across people who deserve to.


-It’s a minefield of hypocrites, wishy washers, fraudsters, liars, multidaters, attention who, manipulators, individuals with no self control over their impulses and people seeking casual hookups.

-I refuse to elevate an individual, change my core values or principles nor fight over anyone. If someone does not view me as valuable shrugs I have way way too much self respect for that.


-I have basic/semi high standards however I have always kept those values within the sphere of realism. If I am going to share any part of my existence with someone I better be sure they won't ruin it.


-I take care of a woman when she does the same for me. Nothing makes me more parsimonious than when an individual acts entitled or implies it is my duty to do something for them. My generosity is a privilege and not an inheritance.


-Only games I play are on my computer, I refuse to use or partake in manipulation/jealousy tactics to impress or play emotional mind competitions.


-Rarely come across any woman that is worthy of my time or my commitment, I would rather save my pearls than throw them before swine.


-I take commitment and monogamy extremely seriously. I know what it feels like to be deceived and would never partake in the cheap thrills of infidelity nor would ever put up with anybody that did it to me. Yes I am fussy about that but I have never cheated myself so I practice what I preach. I ‘m not concerned with what the rest of the humanity does but this is the standard I have in my life.


-I look at attitudes and how an individual approaches relationships generally. If I pick up that someone has a history of treating relationships as throwaways then it's only expected that I wonder if she will do the same with me.


-My past, I have been in horrible relationships that would drive most men to become a monk or live in a secluded cabin cut off from society. I do not maintain any codependent tendencies and have come to semi enjoy the single life not having to worry about the stress of wondering whether I am being played or if interest is waning.



So basically in a nutshell that is why I am single, yes I could “settle” and attempt to forge a strong emotional connection/relationship with anyone but that is not what my heart desires. Yes I would rather a wonderful stress free healthy relationship over being single, but I would rather be single than to deal with what’s out there for the most part.
