So tell me why my mother in law called me yesterday getting on me, talking about as a man im supposed to be the provider...why my woman gotta spend the money....I need to call and check on her...I have to emotionally show I care etc. My ol girl got approved for the covid relief check and we supposed to move in together. Instead of me tryna spend all my money on paying for the first month, I figured, "shyt she got the free money, let her use that for us to move in" (she don't work). fukk I gotta go to work for and save up my money when she sitting on a free check?
So the July 4th party is later today and I heard from grape vines.. the mutual friends I had with my ex(that I cut off) are all talking shyt saying “Malik is too weak to see his ex and her new man blah blah”

Last Monday I decided to text my ex from 3 years ago. She replied back a minute later, happy to hear from me.
I set up a lunch date for the next day.
Found out she moved closer to my area and we work 5 miles from each other.
Set up a second meet up for after work a couple days later. I had to cancel because of work but rescheduled for Thursday.
Hit up a bar, have a few drinks, went to my place and a few more drinks and smoked...you know the rest.
Just thought I'd share my experience with hitting up a ex, which was a first for me. She actually dumped me back then but we fukked a couple times before I decided to moved on.
