I was in LA last week, and hit up a woman I know from down here, who lives in West LA, I know her girl friends, and we have all hung out together. We never kissed or had each other's numbers, but she gave me the look a few times, like eyes glittering and staring at me. So, got her number from her girl.
She hit me back and was like more excited than I thought. I invited her to some spot in Beverly Hills, told her I'd be in her area of LA, and said lets get lunch and hang out, I'm there for one night. She was like I'M DEFINITLY DOWN. I'M SO EXCITED. I live right next to there. So, I was like cool, see you up there.
No one will be shocked that she just entirely stopped answering. This isn't to complain, or try to point to a reason but it points to the kind of randomness of the modern era, and a kind of heightened version of just basic communication norms that are less and less relevant. It's a straight forward, no strings attached invite, and a straightforward acceptance of invite. and my rep is solid with her friends. You are always one text or one non response away. And as I was saying in here week or ago, the slot machine impact on your brain.
Ahhh ok.. Well all bets off at that point, she gotta get up out the paintOur deal was we're together exclusively. I did mention in the beginning that if you're gonna deal with someone else (and vice versa) let it be known since we both grown and I'm not into the jealous shyt. She agreed. 5 months on everything is supposed to be cool, then I come back from abroad and get the news.
When I heard it I rolled my eyes internally like "here we go again." When it's not one thing it's the other. It hit me after the Cutty scene flashed before my eyes that she hasn't moved on from her ex. I get that and don't blame her or got any beef with dude and shyt like that. Everyone's divorce process is different especially with kids involved. Bottom line is he's always gonna be in her life as the father of their kids and I can live with that. I draw the line at grocery money like they still together though.
Part of this is bad communication but really this chick just lied and gaslighted. That's not reflective of society but of a person who lacks interpersonal respect for other people.I was in LA last week, and hit up a woman I know from down here, who lives in West LA, I know her girl friends, and we have all hung out together. that sounds like that typical LA shyt, but yes it is indeed getting worse and worse. Not even a "hey cant make it" or no kind of class.
Their minds are just sensory overload lol. Legit children.

At this point does "regular" USA even exist anymore? Like I feel LA/Miami/ATL/Houston are all the same place. I think NYC might be a different animal with a mix of everything (as in the entertainer bullshyt but still legit high earners who have nothing to do with enertaintament so actual real people in large numbers). People visit LA/Miami/ATL/Houston for weekends to feel like somebody important for a day, so living in these places you deal with even more delusion. Like has the LA/Miami/ATL/Houston-syndrome taken over every major city? Where everyone is presenting as more important than they actually are lol
Link the videoBecause they have "followers" and access to men all over , simping and telling them how good they look lol. Because the pendulum has swung so much, you have the higher tier men dipping into lower pools, because the women at their level want even HIGHER tier men.
There was a video with two NBA players, and they were saying how they couldnt get access to the level of women other players had because they had "more star power / more money / more recognition / etc". They thought just cause they were in the NBA, it would be "easier" ... NOPE. Heard plenty of women say "athletes are in everybody's DMs" lol.
I knew it was bad, when i was talking to this one girl 2-3 years ago at the Mondrian and we were out getting drinks, we took a couple photos and then i see a DM light up and it was Michael B Jordan

My honest read on her was that the first responses were genuine. Who knows what happened after. It really serves no purpose for her add all the extra. A polite deferral, "Hey I won't be around Sunday" would have settled it. What's more interesting to me is the inherent randomness in this era of communication. The longer thing is how much I think insgatram and Tik Tok play into all this. People use those more for what used to be text based. Like if we followed each other, I DM'd here, liked her posts, blah blah blah, eventually I DM her the same invite. I think that's more how people do it now. People say on here "Intstagram pull up", and hit girls on IG, that's what they mean, right?
@trap101-ETHout-Allegri-In: For me, it's just company. I also don't really have the patience for the club thing, but yeah she's one of those for sure. It's convenient for me to meet someone out of town, rather that travel with someone. I have heard from women that they often take these things much differently, but she knows me pretty well in person, and like it's an afternoon meet up. Of course I have my idealized version of how the night goes, but if we just go out, have a good time, part ways, I'm cool with that. I didn't give her a room number and say wear leather pants.
Also, I was in LA to see HEAT at the Academy Awards theater with the director there, which was sick. Favorite movie and director. So, that whole scheme was me meeting with her, leaving her, going to the movie, and meeting her back the hotel lol

It's a symptom of everything being commodified. People are treating each other based on how they are "worth". Is sending a text "worth" her time? And if she responds, how much energy is she going to "invest" into you? You don't typically conduct this type of analysis with people you care about, such as friends or family. Some do, but those are called narcissists or have some kind of other personality disorder. There has always been some version of this but I definitely think social media made it worse but its also a bunch of other societal factors that enable people to act this way.that sounds like that typical LA shyt, but yes it is indeed getting worse and worse. Not even a "hey cant make it" or no kind of class.
