ive mentioned before I was out with this chick a few times i was really feeling her, she wsa smart, educated, sexy, had her mba. Our dates were great and lasted long, one time it went from like 7pm all the way to 2am and i had work the next morning.
Anyways she just got totally distant and i never heard from her again

even recently just yesterday I find out my work is doing major cuts next week, and the major cuts are occurring in my old department. A few years ago i was in a different department and me and 7 other people were basically terminated we were either offered severance package or the ability to apply for a new job in another department. Some took the package because they wre old i applied for a new job, well guess what two years later mostly everyone in my old department will be out of work on tuesday. Welp, I'm officially ending the sexual relations I have with this asian girl. A couple nights ago she broke down on me and told me she suffers from depression and is contemplating suicide. I don't have any issue with dealing with this but I'm not about to be emotionally and sexually available for someone who isn't in a relationship with me. It's hard enough being this close with her and I can't do it anymore. Next time I see her I'm gonna tell her that we can still be close but I'm not fukking her anymore unless we do this. I know her answer will be no but she can't have her cake and eat it too. This suicidal shyt is the last straw. Can't do it.

My mum was listening to a talk show on a Christian radio station this morning. They were talking about relationships and when the women were talking about themselves and having expectations when dating, one of them said "Some of us women spend too much time looking for the spectacular that we ignore the supernatural."
Initially, I agreed with the statement because they were basically saying that women should value "feelings and signs" over material possessions but then I thought about it and wondered what happens when those feelings start to fade. Will a woman still stick it out because she believes that her man was sent into her life from God? Or will she step away in order to see more signs elsewhere?

Problem is people keep reaffirming utter nonsense, especially when it comes from women... because they want that woman's affection. Relationships require commitment, which means staying together IN SPITE of emotional ups and downs. Women are taught to be impulsive, or in other words, act on their immediate emotions. In order for something to work, you have to stick it out, and that's simply not being taught.
Honestly brethren, don't even trip over these women. No need to get angry at their antics. Realize the breed you are dealing with in this time period and adjust your mentality accordingly. You can't expect a kid to talk rocket science, but if you came upon the rare one that could, you'd be astounded. Don't expect super loyal women in this day and age, but if you find one, appreciate the rarity. Everything comes from setting your expectations accordingly.
If a woman flakes, it should be no big deal, because you've set up in your mind that there was a high possibility that she would and you simply had interchangeable plans and you won't miss a beat in enjoying your day.

This line of think is exactly what I'm wrestling with right now. Given I'm the type that only talks to one girl at a time, I don't see how I'm supposed to get into a meaningful relationship if it's socially acceptable for my girl to keep her options open or look for an emotional spark elsewhere whilst we're going through our ups and downs. There's a lack of accountability.
