So back I’m September/October, my girl went out to take pictures with this friend/photographer. I wasn’t totally cool with it to begin with bc it was a late night ordeal. She apparently met him at a bar where he was grabbing food and drinks before they went to the this outside spot where the “photos” were taken (shyts turned out wack af and look like they were just phone camera pics. So with it seeming fishy I check out dude IG story and there’s a boomerang video of her walking up some steps like

So I question her about it and she says it was a shot for a video he was working on (still never seen it) and that they were at a girlfriend of hers place. I told her nah that was foul and she needs to find a new photographer. She agreed and said ok if he makes me uncomfortable.
Fast forward to this week...she mentions that a DJ friend of hers is moving to NYC and wants her to promote his gigs. So she’s going out with him tomorrow night to this as a possible business opportunity. I asked her who is this DJ friend and all she gives me is DJ lemonade. I’m like well surely his momma ain’t name him that, he ain’t got a real name? She never told me and I guess expected me to ask explicitly. She doesn’t know thatI know it’s the same photog guy from before.

I’ve confronted her before about taking pictures on his bed even before that.

Also when I confronted her about him back then she was saying something like he’s not her friend and just a photographer. And how he’s not to be trusted business wise because he’ll use people in his crew help and when they get paid he takes all of the cut.

I’m not sure if she’s cheating per say, but I do think she’s trying to just be around a certain scene from time to time or maybe seeking some type of clout. But if we had an agreement to not deal with dude this is pretty disrespectful.

She quit her govt job I’m December. She has no history in the business of promotion and said the pics were just for fun. Meanwhile I’m a guy who’s near future holds 6 figure annual earnings, so I feel like I do provide some stability in that regard.

They’re supposed to meet tonight but I won’t be in town. She didn’t tell me that they were meeting until I told her that I was going out of town. So it’s kinda seemed like a what can I get into since you’re gone and being semi straight up already is an alibi in case I call at night and she doesn’t pick up. Meanwhile a brew can’t take a shyt without her blowing me up if I don’t answer.
I don’t have any chicks lined up but that’s not a big deal to me.

no diss, but this is terrible advice. Never be afraid to lose a chick, if she's your last one on the roster. Don't ever have the mindset that you have to have a woman stick around because she's your only option or whatever. Yeah, you'll go through a sex dry spell but at least you have your dignity. Women can sense that shyt and they will use it against you.

She knows that I haven’t been acting myself the past day or so, but says that she don’t know why and I need to speak up if something is wrong. I agree, but part of me want her to see if she’d actually go through with this meet up. Me confronting her may possibly stop that. The problem with people like you that give advice is that, you’re dispensing your advice from a point of pride. You’re not thinking ahead or taking into account actual human practicalities.

It’s easy to say “don’t ever be afraid to lose a chick” but that is a very meaningless, useless piece of advise. It’s like saying to someone whos’s about to get shot to never be afraid of pain or death. How about advicing him to put on a bulllet proof vest? Or avoiding the situation in the first place?

Dude is in a very hard place and he obviously likes the girl. If he does not create a backup plan for himself, that girl will be able to persuade him into believing all types of fuccksh1t . If dude has more than 1 chick he likes equally it would be very easy to muscle up the courage to not put up with any type of disrespect from a chick. saying “never be afraid” of xyz is just about one of the top dumbest things u can say to someone in his position.
