You have to plan and prepare for Japan, imo. Some places you don't need to change much, Japan requires effort.

1) Tokyo or Osaka. Preferably Tokyo. I met a lot of chicks in Roppongi and Shibuya. The clubs change, but the party districts don't.

Of note, there are a lot of places (bars, hotels, places of ill repute) you can't walk into as a foreigner, that is non Japanese. White, Black, Korean, etc. That happens in Korea as well. I didn't see that in Hong Kong, but HK is an international city by default. Southeast Asia is much more accommodating. There are probably some cultural lessons here, but I don't have the credentials.

2) Language. (Despite 9 years of English taught in schools, most don't speak English). A basic conversation is nice, but you can Google translate your way through a whole lot in Asia.

3) Go to the hip hop/reggae/salsa events. When I say the brand is strong, I really mean it. (C) Dipset. A lot of the time, Naija boys will pretend their from NYC, lol.

4) The Japanese chicks are SHY. Naruto n'nem will manhandle a broad to get her on the dance floor. So you gotta be observant.
