Nah, she is. I just should've known earlier. She told me she was seeing a cac before me.

Went out on a date with her and:

1. She made it a big deal about the fact that she's cape verdean. I mean, first time she mentioned it was cool, but then she started OD'ing a bit on it.
2. She made a comment about hating the sun because it makes her darker.
3. She let out that she mostly has cac friends when she goes out. This is Angola-Africa man, you'd really have to go out of your way to only be surrounded by cacs at the club.
4. She let it out that she wanted to have children with her cac boyfriend. But they fell through and that didn't happen.

There were some other redflags that I suspect are tied to this self-hate from point 2. But I'm honestly trynna keep the L's to a minimum. At this point I'm just trying to figure out the best way to exit this situation.

Loved seeing that Miami post! Glad someone else was down there too, what an experience. It's only my second time in Miami, but people in SD just can't get what it's like down there. It was a perfect trip, don't know where you stayed, or if you have a spot, but the Edition is always impressive, and Esme was really really dope for the South Beach experience.

Yea Miami is my stomping grounds, just hadnt been out like that late last year. Was liquidating some stuff and I was in the burbs and the drive make you lose all motivation after putting in work .. Switching some things up and I need to update the itinerary because soo many new spots open. Its funny you mention San Diego (I just peep in your handle) because when I went out there awhile back I loved the laid back feel and felt it had all the cali benefits of LA without some of the BS. If I was to get some 2nd location out of state, SD would be at TOP of list.. Them prices tho

On the subject, I think about the gamification of relationships and dating via social media/text/phones. Everything is like points being displayed and earned, or lost, and extremely intense and rigid and largely unknown value systems people are playing by, for example: he didn't keep texting me up until our date, he's DONE. (I had that happen) an increasingly neurotic and digital playing field. I heard women once discuss anyalzing someone VENMOS to see if they were dating other people. How about just asking? Like normal communication and consideration isn't really a focus for people. It's hyper analytic and very charged.

When I was out this weekend, I dont think I been asked soo much for social media first than ever before and the reaction to not having any was that much more visceral.. Lol.. But how I was raised and where Im from, posting your business just seems against my religion, I been tryna hold out for sooo long. I dont wanna cave in but mannnnn

Knowing they talking to 10 other people. You meet up for a date knowing they got other folks lurking around, even if you go out a couple times they are still on the apps because they love the attention.

Right, on the social media thing, I think I made my decision years ago and stand on it, but I do have the tastes for all the luxury spots, and I travel a decent amount, I'm in Beverly Hills, I'm in Miami, always at the best places and that's all that social media feed would be. It's just not who I want to be, but when I show people my pics, they are always like you need an IG. The thing for me, is it's a part of my life, but just showing the best parts, for likes and follows is just not me. it's all about ego and the opposite of how I want to be.
