The author had the right idea, it just wasn't executed well. It really should be called Love Preferences.

Basically, each person does have a certain way that they show love and affection, and they also have a certain subconscious preference as to how they like to receive love and affection. The author misses the mark because it's not as simple as he makes it out to be. For example, I enjoy giving gifts to the special people in my life. However, I don't really care to receive gifts. On my birthday or Christmas I don't want or need any physical gifts.

the issue imo is behavioral observations being used as another "requirement". the context is always framed in "this is how I need a man to serve me"

I met this chick recently who likes to do a lot of white people shyt. But she's not white...I grew up in an area where there were no white people and no white people things to do.

call them out and be direct. sometimes they stressed out or busy. if a chick likes you yea she makes time for you and moves mountains etc. but at least if you are direct and say whats up you might get a straight answer or some bird babble you can decipher. Ive reignited situations by being direct.

Won't write an essay, but people in general, like to avoid confrontation, and what I would say is based on my experiences, a lot of reading, a lot of reading about tech and social media, is basically this, there can be many variables for "ghosting", as far as reasons, the one you noted, is that communicating primarily through texting makes ignoring something that much easier. Like if you could have a convo in person, you could easily just talk this out in probably 5-10 minutes, at most. One way or another.

so, I think currently, the bar for discomfort is so low, and the rationale for ghosting is so high, (he's toxic!) as soon as anything comes up that can be defined as "awkward" or "conflicting", people will just ghost. Someone I've known for like 20 years ghosted me the other day about meeting up, like I have seen her strip down for me in a hotel room in highs school, we are old homies, there's no need to ghost me, or avoid conflict, but, that's how people respond. She's getting divorced, I get it.

This is too cerebral and a whole tangent, but I also think that text allows you to control your image a lot more, and people like that, just like social media. But controlling your image is not really consistent with healthy communication.
