Unbeknownst to them, I'll have my sky dweller on, a $2000 outfit on, got my own place, I done paid for the date etc....but they gon assume you cheap/broke just cause you dont uber or own a whip . Our people are mentally behind breh.

most other women dont be expecting anything though. I had a colombian shorty come over off hinge the other day and she ubered herself to my crib. as a courtesy i ubered her back.

Were you sleeping together? As much as I don't think "friend zone" is THAT much of a real thing, it def. isn't the version that people seem to dread AFTER you've slept together. Doesn't sex invalidate the entire idea of the friend zone?

Ha, well wouldn't want to speculate on that, but what I am interested in is the use of friend zone.

It seems like a lot of words from like 20 years ago are still being used, but the definition is being pushed further and further, negatively.

For example, simping, a word that is used by straight up nerds who don't even go on dates, much less have 'casual sex', kids who are like 22 years old, but across the age range, are using to to describe ANY sort of interest or attraction. Simp, to me, like in high school was doing the most for someone who mostly wasn't even engaging with you at all.

Go on a date = simping

compliment a woman = simping

don't have sex on the first date = simping

calling a woman = simping

double texting a woman: simping

paying for dinner = simping

having sex more than once with a woman = simping

being in a relationship = simping


They are using it for anything and everything. And so for friend zone, that used to mean, if a woman 'liked' you, called, texted, went out, but would not sleep with you. I wonder if that is another term where the context has been totally collapsed.
