Yup I cut her off for good like two months ago, as well as my godchild.
It was stressing me out for years and my godson is turning 4 next week. I've known this girl like for 10 years, never dated etc., but we've always been close.
Anyways she got knocked up by her cheater loser ex, was going to have a abortion etc., but my mom and sister talked her out of it. Anyways while she was pregnant she got kicked out of her house, and my mom allowed her to live with us.
Anyways she gave birth, I was named godfather bla bla, baby dad popped back up and she went and lived with him, that lasted for a few months then she moved back home. I cut her off then, I loathe drama but I got drawn back in because of my god child.
She finally got a job when he was about two, needed a place to stay my sister and brother in law took her in for 3 months rent free. She finally found a place but needed first and last, i lent her half of it (1,000)
. She lost her job and was unemployed
for almost a year, couldn't even get a interview at mcdonalds. Throughout this whole year i was buying diapers, food etc. for my godson . I finally said let me see your resume, and I created a brand new one from scratch along with a cover letter. I then started sending her resume out to everywhere, and in like two weeks got her 25 interviews.
She got a job thanks to me, and the first thing she does is send my godson 2 hours away to live with his dad because she didn't want to pay for daycare. She knows she owes me money as I keep asking for it, but she's buying a new tv, new clothes, planning trips and she bought a personalize license plate for 300 bucks when she doesn't even have a car.
I finally snap and said I've had enough, no one else lent you a dime, no one else cared that you were unemployed, no one else cared that your son didn't have milk or food, and yet you disrespect me like this by not paying me back. So I just cut her off, she tried to make me feel guilty by mentioning how her son draws pictures and includes me in it
My sister still talks to her because my niece and her son have like a brother/sister bond but I don't care. Christmas came and went I said nothing, his birthday is in a few days and I will say nothing again.
I've got 250 of the 1000 im owed, and who knows if I will get another cent.
