Yeah I feel you. I can easily do more weight but just started with 65 just to get myself motivated and go up from there. Had never done barbell rows so I wanted to start at the bottom with that. I should progress nicely tho. My problem is the damn gym has no 2.5s. I'm thinking of just doing the same weight on consecutive days then increasing it by ten for the next two workouts. That way I don't jump up ten pounds each time.I'm abreh doing the SL5x5. Started at a low weight to get my form right and just built from there.
I remember those first days when chicks half my weight were squatting double what I had on my bar
When I finally got to squatting (below parallel) a single and deadlifting two plates with proper form and no pain :flabbynblessed::flabbynblessed:
I do gotta work on my squat form with heavy weights. I've been used to doing it on the assisted machine cuz my balance was off. I can do low weights easily but not heavy ones. Maybe I'll just stick to the machine on that.
